St. Louis County, MO(Zone 5a)

Time for a co-op?? Haha, I'd buy a dozen if the price was right.

lol, I was thinking the same thing .... can someone get me his number? I'll call him and tell him we'll buy everything he has! LOL!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Can you see the look on his face when you say you want to buy them all? LOL
I'd buy one or two, have alot my late BF made me,but having handmade is always nice.

(Zone 1)

Love it! I too would be buying up a lot of his creations!

(Sue) South Central, IA(Zone 5a)

I'll bet some of them would LOVE to live in Iowa!

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Gosh if only I could remember the town in VT, but I have a sneaky suspicion he would not want to do mail order!

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Here is a photo of how I used 1 of my hang-a-pots! When the plant grows more, the hair will be thicker! The face pot is hung on my arbor.

neat

Thanks everyone! It is a concrete mold kit which you use with clay pots. The website to order the mold kit is:

These are so cool..I found mines at the farmers market of all places lol!!!

How big of a pot do the faces cover? I can't find that info on the website. I could take the box dimensions into account, but I don't have a pot at work I could measure . . . just curious.

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

It takes a standard 6 inch.. even slightly smaller or bigger : )

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Hmm. Very interesting, thanks kimarj!

You know, I must be blind . . . I was just looking at the website, and it says 6" - right there as big as day. Guess I need to get my eyes checked!

Here is the instructions on how to make the face pot molds from the company website:

http://www.wordsandcrafts.com/stones/instruct/SF1.pdf

I have made 2 of them so far. One I used concrete dye and was a brown color and the one above was spray painted white and then sealed with a matte clear finish.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Oops ... I hadn't finished my post yet ...

kimarj - Could you post a close-up of your face pot please. I want to see how it was decorated. Thanks! Yours is really pretty! Did you just get the pot or did you buy the mold kit?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

and another question is.... did you put the stones in the mold or glue them on after?

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Thanks! I used the kit ..dark now but I will post a pic later on. I glued the stones on later.Painted one gold and glued glass globs on it. it was fish-knees from the garden art forum that I got the stone idea from. ...she has one on there now that is awsome!

I didn't take a picture, but I used one of the hangers to hang a pot near my veggie garden to hold my digging and weeding tools. I'm disabled and it is hard to carry stuff, so I have several cheaper sets of tools that I keep in several places around the yard. I'm thinking about another near the kitchen sink for scrubbies, etc, and maybe by the stove for wood spoons and such to keep them off the counter.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

that's a great idea Cathy

(Zone 1)

What a great idea Cathy! I have hand tools for the garden sitting in a pot in the shed and others scattered here, there and everywhere. I love the idea of using the hang-a-pots as utensil/tool holders around the yard! Thanks so much for that tip! And, what a great idea for holding pots for kitchen utensils too!

I love this Garden ... I learn something new every day from the wonderful folks here!

Disputanta, VA(Zone 7a)

I wonder if someone could/would do a co-op on these to get a little better cost? I know I'd want more than one. They are so cool!

davis1676 - I would participate, too, if prices could be reduced. I wish there was a place to get just the mold . . . I've got everything else!

Looking good, onewish1!

Here are some of mine. We begin with petunias. They are not as large as I would like, but it never stops raining long enough for me to fertilize.
