Again, Anyone have a close up photo of this device, Hang a pot? Their web pages never show the actual product in detail.

no pretty photo to confuse the question.

(Zone 1)

I'll go take a photo of mine and come back in a sec and post it!

(Zone 1)

Ok, here's the first photo of one laying on my deck

Here's a view from the side. They come with pre-drilled holes and two screws for attaching.

And, here's one with a pot, real easy - the terra cotta pot lip catches under the hang-a-pot lip.

Here's a wooden one made by a friend years ago.

Lin, thanks. That is perfect.

I have been wanting something that would hold pots of trailing coleus. I want to frame an exterior door with plants.

Wow Dale, what a great idea! I really hope you will post a photo of that door when you have it framed out with the hangapots and coleus! Really great idea for use of hangapots! I only ordered ten in this co-op and wish I had ordered many more!

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Uh-oh. The hoyas are burning leaves on my wall. Depression is setting in.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Boojum: What do you mean by the hoyas burning leaves on the walls? Oh, I hope you don't mean the sun is too intense and your hoya foliage is being sunburned? If that's the case you will have to maybe plant annuals in those hangapots. You have some beautiful hoyas, I sure hope they are okay. I have thought about hanging a couple of hangapots inside the house ... I can just see my DH now, wondering if I've lost my mind! Gotta think about where I might hang a couple inside, LOL.

Onewish1: Great job ... your hangapots look really great! I like how you have the hanging baskets and the hangapots on that post. Very nice!

Amsterdam, NY(Zone 5a)

Did you see the bloom master tree? I bought 2, but then didn't get the plugs to plant them. I so wanted to have those this summer. But I have a case of bloom master pots - enough so I could do seasonal displays with the trees.

Awesome hang-a-pot ideas, everyone! I have been so busy working that I haven't had time to put mine up yet. Hopefully this weekend! :-)

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

no i did not see the bloom master tree..... THANKS.... going to have to go check it out now

;)

(Zone 1)

Oh, I had to google Bloom Master ... never heard of it! Love those pots! Now, what is the bloom master tree?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

man that is beautiful... but waaaayyyy out of my budget

(Zone 1)

WOW! That is Amazing ... very beautiful but out of my price range too!

Amsterdam, NY(Zone 5a)

In my defense, I did get a better price than what is listed. Here's the link: http://hangingbaskets.com/bushTreeStands.html

So why couldn't you make something similar using the hang-a-pots and a post? I bet ya could!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

make sure you post some pictures for us... that will look great

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

it would be close.... but can't side plant in a terracotta pot ... that would be a good trick

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Here's mine this year

love the fence & hangapot

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Paint the pots green. And put enough of them on a post that the flowers and foliage would drape down and around the post & pots. I bet ya could do it! :-)

(Zone 1)

Very nice Jbanana! I love that fence too ... beautiful spot for hangapots.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

LOL... whew sweating just thinking about it

oh yeah... i started this but ran out of pots... back to home depot I go

I have 5 of them around the yard. also have 5 moss half baskets with a whole bunch of plants, petunias, vines, verbena etc, hanging on the fence panels beside the hang-a-pots. Here's a shot from my back door

moss baskets are on your overhang support?... if it is... that's pretty smart

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Wow great pics and ideas. Your fence has been an inspiration once again, joannabanana!

I moved a few of the hoyas that burned in the direct light to shadier spots but most of them look okay. I think some of them would lighten a bit just from being outside, so I will just keep a careful eye on them. They may just acclimate. My houseplants always look crummy at first. So keep your fingers crossed! Here is yesterday.

boojum,

that will look neat. I will take another pic when the sun starts to shine again & my petunias are in bloom.

(Zone 1)

Oh Boojum ... so sorry some of your hoyas got sunburned! I know down here they would fry in the sun, I guess they can't even take direct sunlight in MA either! I'm sure all will be well and they will recover from their sunburn since you caught it in time. I have not heard of any hoya that will do well in direct sun but that is a question for the hoya forum with the pro's over there. I just love that photo - I want that barn! LOL. Oh ... is that a hoya second from right bottom? Looks like a Rhipsalis I have on my deck ... the kinda skinny, hairy looking one. All of those plants look really great and I love the birdhouses too! I have a lot of birdhouses in trees and on posts in the yard but I also have a large collection of them on my deck and hanging in my Florida room!

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

I just got a message from a hoya expert and she says she has hers in some direct light and even though the leaves yellow, the plant is a good bloomer. Phew. Such good news!! She suggested I mist them daily when they are in shade. No problem!!

Thanks for your encouraging words! Glad you like the barn. I think I like living in it better than the house-although I miss the big kitchen and the fireplace!! LOL.

I think the plant you are noticing is hoya linearis. It looks a lot like a hairy rhipsalis. I love hand made birdhouses. I got some recently in VT. The woodworker had hundreds in big piles on his lawn and even though I wasn't driving, I made my friend turn around!

Amsterdam, NY(Zone 5a)

Where in VT? I've been looking for some nice boxes.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

I knew someone'd ask. I know it was way up north and these are very rustic-not pretty like the ones in this pic.

OOOOh, I love that man's hands!

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

What a profitable hobby he has! Love all the bird houses! That is amazing! How much does he sell them for?

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

oh boy! I think that guy needs a website! LOL!
