getting the roof started

Beer seems to be a constant theme...hee hee. Looks great! You can make him sleep there if he misbehaves.

one pooped out little boy... at the start of the day he was mumbling that his step dad did something wrong and it took him a while to get over it and fix the problem... I just stayed away

I always yell across the yard... no beer until the work is done... he doesn't listen to me... working in the hot sun and beer is a bad combo... funny he was drinking water after that one beer by the gallons... wonder why

Today was pretty hot for hard work. I was dying in the sun.

yeah like a dope... i didn't put sunscreen on... i think i am a tad sunburned already

The sun is intense right now.

Maybe I should test the "beer in the sun" theory...

The shed is amazing! It's got a gabled roof??? Holy cow- it's bigger and better than my entire house. It certainly is cleaner, too!

lol - like my pool is clean....

LET ME THINK NOW......OH YES..............can I borrow the carpenter for a weekend of painting training? That way he will know exactly how to get a professional job on his fine creation of that shed. No beer when in training. I'll punch his painting card so he does not have to learn on his job and maybe mess it up. ]:o)

I am more of a painter than he is.... so that works for me.... I usually just force him to do the ceilings in the house... can't stand doing that ... but i am good with faux finishes ... he usually just stands back and stays out of the way for the yelling and screaming when I don't like the way it's coming out... and watches me paint over 3 or 4 times before i give up

well not much work getting done this weekend... too many parties to go to ALREADY... but honey is off this whole week so as long as the weather cooperates we should be done

he cut down a bunch of tree limbs today... didn't want to scratch his new roof

but the roof is on.... even though there were a few HONEY calls today

he got a lot done today... put up supports on both sides.... side walls of the roof are on... and 1/4 of the tar paper... we tarped off the rest since it's going to rain

not bad with a lowes run in between all that

....

if you enlarge the shot in my previous post you can see my dirty garden hand print on the tar paper.... LOL

since the shed was damp from the rain we put off painting ..... but that will be tomorrow mornings project... BEFORE IT'S 100 out.... man I am beat today..... but since we couldn't paint he put up another post for hanging baskets for me

and we made 4 more self watering boxes... we now have 7 total.... since we didn't get the raised bed up in time

I know the red is supposed to be for tomatoes but.... i didn't have any black.... oh well the cucumbers will have to deal with it

well our plans for painting this morning... are out .... we had a nasty thunderstorm last night and everything is soaked.. after it dries it's going to be too hot... not doing that today... oh well... going to go pull weeds now
