picked these today.
Looks nice with my sculpture from a friend.
Spring Blooms - Part 7
Love the colour of those quince blooms - unusual.
Victor, maybe that's why my penstemon hasn't spread - I deadhead everything once the blooms are spent.
Nice still life, Jo Ann.
That sculpture is very stylish. Did your friend make it?
Eliza Update....
She is still in the hospital, but no longer in isolution. The swelling has gone down quite a bit. They are having to give her shots because they couldn't get the IV to work. They wanted to do a Catscan (I think) but they needed the IV to inject the trace elements. She inproves day by day and they are hopeful that she might go home by the weekend. They still have no idea what caused this whole problem.
Chuck
Good news, Chuck. Best wishes for continued improvement.
Yep she is very sucessful sculptor, we have known each other for 30+ years.
janjacque.com if you would like to see the things she does.
Chuck:
I am so happy that she's doing better. Keeping my fingers crossed for a welcomed home-coming this weekend.
I love the 'Shasta', Victor. It looks so lacy and dainty.
Jo Ann ~ thanks for the link to your sculptor friend.
She does amazing work!
Wow - looks great, Allison. Love the peach tone on that azalea.
might have been one of the northern lights.... going to have to look though my files
Allison, they are all so beautiful! I especially love the tulips.
Victor, I mis-spoke before. The 'Blushing Lady' does have some bloom buds on it. It will be a while before I see them blooming, though.
Gorgeous pix, everyone, what a treat to see. Victor, love that Shasta. That's the same as doublefile, right? One of my faves, although I LOVE so many viburnums! Onewish: love that helebore. Jealous!
Good, Candyce - you'll love it. Daisy - yes, 'Shasta' is one of the doublefiles.
Victor I hate to hear that about Sambucus 'Black Lace' I just got it last week!
Allison your phlox is beautiful!! Love those tulips too, and the azalea is lovely, I bought and orange one last year..hasn't bloomed yet.
Sorry, Celeste! For me it's been a slow grower and in the first two years I only had one bloom on one of the three I planted. It's marketed as a JM alternative for the colder areas so maybe it will do better for you - hope so!
thank you Pixie ... amazing how long it took to get to that point... has to be three years... i hope by next year it is going to start crawling down the rocks
They do spread slowly, Allison, but it's worth the wait.
