Spring Blooms - Part 7

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

this is the coolest bloom. The spelling might be a mess.
Rhody stenopetalum linearifolium. Yep, it sure is a rhododendron. Strangely enough, it goes will with JM Koto no ito!

I sprayed the big patch of these in the back (this photo is from the front)... so excited the deer damage wasn't too bad... looks like 3 or 4 were only effected after the chow down.... more coming soon

Everyone has such beautiful blossoms and blooms!
Sarah, even YOU have more blooming than do I!!

I'll get out later today though, because we have tulips just now showing some color, and the anemone, and yes, the daffs. The crocus are all done blooming.

We have vigorous green growth on everything that survived the winter, and with today's sunshine, I am looking for a growth spurt!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I have been waiting all winter for this.

Green Parrot is from J.Sheepers

I walked around the corner of the GH and I "think" I saw a humming bird. It was greenish blueish, blackish. It was after a rose that has bloomed. It flew fast so I did not get a real good look but I will lean towards HB.

Thats what it was. A Ruby throat no doubt.
They love red anything and will come to the red hummingbird feeders filled with sugar water.

Looks great, Celeste! Long time coming wasn't it? Love the species tulip and the trillium.

Last one - JM Shigitatsu sawa. I have two of these (by mistake) and this one looks very different than the other, which leafed out about 10 days ago and was much greener.

WOW that is beautiful.

Thanks. It's a new one for me. Supposed to have disease resistant foliage and not require deadheading. Supposed to bloom through frost. We'll see.
