Katye - your Merriest Wood Cream is pretty darn gorgeous! Thanks for making me feel welcome.
Outta- or should I just call you OMG? I can tell you are a real pistol. Can't wait to see picks of your garden treasures. Got any favorites?
Katie59- I work in Bothell so howdy neighbor! I work near the Home Depot. So you'll know it's me if I grab something out of your hand and exclaim "I saw it first!"
oneangl- looking forward to seeing your glad in all its glory. I bought my rockroses at Alpine Nursery in Renton. I bought a Styrax tree there too. Styrax and peonies top my list of favorite plants.
What's Blooming Outside Your Door, Part 2
uh oh! gotta go google styrax now! tee hee !
OOOOO!!! Very pretty!!! I love Verbena. Trailing Lobelia too. My MIL told me one day that people that can grow Lobelia make her sick. I thought DH was going to #@#%#!!! LOL!!! I just ignored her and kept right on talking. She doesn't have much cooth anyway. Here's my antique sheep trough planted in Petunias (in the center), Verbena and Trailing Saffire Lobelia (all around the edge). They aren't very big right now as I just planted it last Fri.
Susan
cocoajuno, I bought a Foxglove Apricot Beauty last year
and enjoyed the blooms, then harvested the seeds.
I didn't expect the parent plant to bloom again this year.
I thought they bloomed every other year, am I wrong?
Treehole, that japonica is gorgeous!
Neo - yep, they're biennial. They germinate the first year and then flower the second. http://www.mrsgreenfingers.co.uk/foxgloves.htm.
They either die back after self-sowing, or they live to flower again, if the climate is temperate enough.
Ok, so it is possible for them to bloom again.
That is good to know! I have tons of baby peach ones growing
this year, so hopefully will have a whole herd blooming next year. :)
They multiply better than any foxglove I have grown, I just love them! I grow many varieties because it is another favorite of mine and if you cut the bloom back they bloom over and over all summer! It is hard to see in this picture but back in this area there are 7 different 1st and 2nd year foxglove all different varieties.
Beautiful Willowwind
Iris lovers, check out this coop over on the coop forum. It starts Friday, so get your wallets ready. The vendor for the coop is Bleek, and he is a good one. He sells top quality stuff.

All I can say is that the interest in this coop is huge, so if you want to order, be prepared to get the order in quickly. May the force be with you all!
willowwind. I see the raindrops on your hosta. Looks like it is scattered with diamonds. Very pretty!

Lovely Lupine
That's a pretty rose.
Willowwind, All the Iris I planted last year have lost their tags. I am on a research project to compare my invoices to catalog pictures to my actual photos and get these labeled. Have a graduation tomorrow and family in town..so the project is now on hold. Next week I hope to have some answers for all that have asked the names. Will let you know.
Willow mine is 5
Nice pics Bea.
Bea, I once did a wedding for a young woman named Nicole - and we used that rose for her bouquet . . . it was gorgeous and the fragrance was incredible!
Murmur. I bet a whole bouquet made from this rose would be breath taking. It does smell wonderful. I sat by my margaret merriell rose today and just kept sniffing that one. It also is out of this world. I would buy the perfume if they could just bottle it! YUM!
