I was surprised to find a Rose-breasted Grosbeak at my feeder today. I have never seen one in Alabama. Hope he stays.

Saw this big guy at the Gulf Shores, Alabama beach over the weekend. My son was at the state track meet there. I think he is a Great Blue Heron. He was about four feet tall.

Had an afternoon's entertainment watching this cardinal pair. They built this nest right up against my dining room window. Great photo opportunity.
