Awesome pictures! And, congrats for your Towhee! They are fun birds to watch. I just love your Tangers, Adelbertcat, gorgeous!! Nanegoat, I hope your neighbors are ok too! :)

I wish I could have started this thread today, because this was the first time I've ever seen a Pileated Woodpecker in my own back yard. Wow, what a huge bird and he definitely announced himself when he flew in!! I took a gazillion pictures, and because he was in such a shady, weird spot, not too many pictures were good. But, I did get a few.

Congratulations. They are a sight to see, and difficult to get a good shot of.

Thanks Gardenpom!
Before we were distracted by the Pileated, we saw this poor Red Breasted Grosbeak on the neighbor's patio. It it his sliding glass door, but is ok now, thank goodness!! I think he may have hurt his foot in the process, though. :(

Wonderful pictures everyone. Could not believe all the new postings in one day.
Well, the rose breasted grosbeaks are back all the way up here.
Not good picture. (have not seen a female, but got at least 2 males)

I put out the grape jelly when I saw the RB grosbeaks. Sure enough a female Baltimore Oriole came in, followed by this male.
Seen a couple males fighting.
