Beth, I`m so sorry you lost one of your rabbits! :(
I`m not a vet so I don`t have any ideas why they would out of the blue have convulsions and die. Obviously, she had something wrong with her. Again, I hate to hear that!

Gardener2005`s Morning Glories
Well, it was 100 degrees and that's very unusual for here....but they had shade and plenty of water so I probably will never know.
Yes, without a vet examining the remains there would be no way of knowing. I did a little google search and found out there are many possible causes for healthy, happy and well cared for rabbits to fall ill and die from seizures. Karen
Lovely blooms, Karen! :-)
Karen, beautiful blooms, the lavender with the white tips is really special
Baby duck is so cute.
Thanks! The lavender with the white tips came from a youjiro x kikyo F2 grow out selection.
This morning I want to share a selection from a Ukigumo x kikyo F2 . This is F3. It sort of has the kikyo shape but is fuller. It has the blue and white throat from the Ukigumo and the blizzard must have gotten left behind and was not inherited by this one.

Karen,
Those are feet stomping beautiful "Touchdown!!!".. that lavender and the one after are just gorgeous.
Just wanted to check in and tell you that the winds here have torn my tent.. and bent the frame completely. Two days of very strong winds.. I lot some mgs, but they all got damaged a little in some way or an other.. very wind whipped. Hopefully they will recover in the next two weeks. I'm lurking here, but don't have much to post yet.. it looks like more winds off and on, but at least I re staked the mgs yesterday and some this morning..
Seem like lots of damage has been done across the U.S. with all these storms..
Nice seeing the duck.. I want a couple of geese and maybe this year I'll get some...I'm hoping the dogs and geese get along..lol (not to mention the cat)...
A.
Oh, no! Are your experimental F1 Fujishibori crosses ok? As long as part of the vine is there with roots intact they will grow back. We had a close call recently. Can you believe I only lost one pot of morning glories?!!! And I had plenty of those seeds to plant again so it wasn`t really a loss.
I think as far as ducks and cats the body size is everything. If the bird is too big to look like food then it usually will be okay. Gee, my own cat looks at Me like I could be food sometimes lol! My sweet guy Alex likes to attack anything like my shoelaces, hair or any kind of strings or belts on my clothes but we have worked out a truce and he doesn`t sink the claws in anymore. Right now Duckie has to stay in a cage or be under very close supervision until until he gets big and able to fly.
You hang in there. :)
Karen
Believe it or not, I lost a couple of the Parks Mixes... boy was I happy.
Our dogs really bark at the birds in the yard, so I have to try and get them used to liking them first.. I thought of chickens, but then KFC came to my mind... and forget that... lol
Yeah...many dogs love to eat chickens. It`s too bad but it`s true. :(
You don`t want chickens running loose in your garden because they poke holes all in All the tomatoes, they will crush your vines when they roost and poo all over the flowers, poo on your neighbor`s porch and car, poo on whatever you don`t want poo to be on,fly up and attack the sunflowers to get the seeds whether they are ready or not and peck off all the seed pods from the morning glories and any other pod looking thing they see. LOL!!!
There is a Reason people have chicken yards and it ain`t just to keep them safe. :)
I hear that geese are good weeders because they eat the weeds and not the plants...but I have not tested that theory. The neighbor`s geese are the brown oriental geese and they are loud, territorial and mean. One of them came over to our side of the lake and walked right up and bit my husband on the butt. lol! We started running them off after that because we worried about one the kids getting hurt. Now they stay over there where they are pretty to watch without any of us getting attacked.
TTYL,
Karen
Yes, I heard they are good security guards.. they don't like any strangers and will make noise like all heck if anyone trespasses..
In the 70's I used to wear bell bottoms (who didn't??) and I had three white geese, they followed me everywhere I went, but they would peck at the bottom of the bell bottom pants.. I love animals. Also had a goat and a rooster.. the rooster used to sit on top of the goat and wait for me to get home from work at the corner.. they were so funny. One day , they started disappearing for no reason, one by one. (I inherited these animals from an uncle that had passed away) and brought them all home in a small Honda, the ones about the size of a beetle..lol 125 miles of animals quacking and making strange noises.. what fun..
What memories to have. You didn`t totally lose all of them because they gave you something to hold on to while you had them and from now on thinking of them will give you happiness.
I was born in `66. In the 70`s I remember fussing about the miserable itchy polyester clothes. I remember begging for cotton clothes. Mom sent me to school too early. They had a beautiful cotton plant for a mascot. I remembered from visits to my Grandparent`s farm how to pick cotton. I remember wondering Why they weren`t picking it. I went and picked all the cotton and brought it gathered in my long dress thinking I had done them a favor. Well, they totally freaked out, chastised me and sent me home. They told my Mom I was too young for school and not quite ready to sit at a desk.
I remember thinking our two tone green shag carpet and rust and orange plaid couch was kinda ugly. I remember imagining the green carpeted LR was a pasture and I had this plastic farm animal set. We didn`t have any real farm animals like our Grandparents but only a dog and cat. My Mom said I told my pediatrician we had a zoo with lions and tigers and giraffes. lol!
Signing off and will return on topic later!
Karen
Karen That youjiro x kikyo f2 bloom is drop dead gorgeous. Love the fullness, the color and the ruffly look. The large throat area is nice too.
Love the purple
Thanks Patootie. This morning I had company from my dog Buster. He is a big chocolate labrador retriever. The flowers are the same blue kikyos I sent to bluespiral and she sent them back to me due to lack of grow room. Now these are the kind I must move pollen to keep them going in future generations.

Nice blooms Karen. I like Buster too, very handsome
Karen - Your Pearly Gates look yellow. Are they? I was thinking PG had white blooms.
Thanks Patootie. Hey Becky, No, Pearly Gates is white with a yellow center. The yellow center may have reflected on the petals. Karen
Karen, The higes are gorgeous. Love the star pattern and the
crazy mop bloom too.
Patootie, I agree about the higes. I love how they appear to be strung across like decorations. It is like Christmas in summertime. :)
I wanted to share this Fujishibori I recieved from Gourd.
Thanks to her (and Gerris2 also)I have seen this in person for the first time this year.

Both are lovely Karen.
Wow Karen...some real beauties!
Will you be trading seeds of any of these?
Sandy
Hi Patootie and Sandy, Thanks. Someof these I`ll trade if I get seeds and others I can`t because I have to do another grow out to be able to reach my goals. Dmail me if you have any ideas.
Karen
This one is just awesome! (I like "busy"!)
