First 2 blooms on the Apple Blossom Grass 'Whirling Butterflies' that I got from HCG.
Spring blooms - Part 4 - Stuff is really taking off
Hey, TJ. Whenever you have time, just come on by and I will share whatever I can. Yours are lookin' good, lookin' good.

Bronc, your noid rose might be an Erfurt. Is it a climber or a shrub. Erfurt is an antique rose with a musk scent and doesn't get very big. The flowers will have very short stems.
Does the strawberry geranium require much moisture? Does it bloom thru the summer? The reason I ask is I rarely see it grown in the south. SIL has a beautiful patch in MO.
survived a hit and run on my driveway
ROFLOL!! too funny Anna!
Bronc, it looks like Venus looking glass. A pretty and tall wildflower, that is know to come up in lawns (including mine). It's not the super invasive type that will talk over though and is easy to pull. If the bed is more traditional, I'd go ahead and pull it. If it's a wildflower bed, I'd leave it.

I have that patch of strawberry geraniums in a very dry bed, although it also will thrive with moisture. It really doesn't like any sun.
Poor damianita! I was angry when I saw it uprooted, thinking someone had "weeded" for me. Then I realized, I had done the damage backing out of the driveway.
ok--loved all your pictures ---i think my garden is doing great but i don't do pictures yet--the only real problem i have is my gerber daisiys--they say full sun but if they aren't really wet the flowers wilt -----------are they just not good for texas? i remember the same thing last year ( i know, i know-------------then why did i buy them again?)
Same here with the gerbers...morning sun, afternoon shade. They die down in the winter only to come back bigger and better in the spring. One of my very first bloomers.

Bronc, I was talking about the pink rose you posted a picture of on April 29.
thanks christi and aggie---mine have shade in morning --afternoon sun--i will switch them around since they really are pretty-------when they aren't wilting
I have a red Gerbera that has been growing and blooming in deep shade for 15 years. Wasn't deep shade when I planted it, but it seems happy, so I haven't had the heart to move it. It does better than the ones I plant in partial sun.
isn't that interesting--i guess the daisy would do ok in all sun if it were not so hot? i moved mine to part shade now--
The glad is wonderful. I don't have good luck with the regular variety so guess I will just enjoy yours. soo pretty.
