Kind of hung up on pink. Since I always plant willy-nilly it is a happy surprise.

Wish you could see how big the Autumn Joy Sedum actually is. Must be 2' around by now and still growing. Looks like it is going to take over Japanese Maple.

Dancey, do you live in a park? So lovely. Yours, too, Linda.

Midway, TX(Zone 8b)

No Louc. We live on a farm way out in the country. We raise a few cows/calves. I have lots of space to plant and dream. ;)
I love seeing all the beautiful plants and flower blooms. Louc I sure like your white Yarrow. I have some yellow that is still a young plant. My Mother planted some from seed this year and so far it looks good and healthy. She has some Bee Balm she plans to share with me.

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

Yarrow is a great fill-in. Grows year-round. As far as I know, no pests either. I am a nut for easy care perrenials. About to start a tropical garden area. Not wise but they are so beautiful. Where is Midway?

If you are on I-45 Madisonville is about halfway between Houston and Dallas. At Madisonville you can take Hwy. 21 east and it will bring you straight to Midway. Midway is a tiny rural town with one caution light. lol
We live off of a FM road here. We do a lot of shopping in Madisonville and also Bryan/College Station. Huntsville is not but about a thirty minute drive and that's where my dh works. He commutes every day.

I love easy care perennials too. I have a lot of Salvia that I love and of course so do the butterflies and hummers. I am working on my herb garden right now. I have some host plants I'm putting in for the butterflies.
The shrub I'm most proud of this year is my Bottle Brush. I didn't know they would grow in our zone. We do have some hard freezes. I got it on Sale at Wal Mart and it is just doing great. Came through the winter without a bit of trouble.
Right now my Star Jasmine in my backyard is just going crazy in full bloom. The fragrance is awesome! Looks like someone should be having a wedding in my back yard. ;)

Isn't it fun? I don't even look at zone stuff anymore. I am fast loosing all grass, which is exactly what I want to do. Star Jasmine has the most divine aroma.

I agree I love the smell. I have only had forced Freesia at Christmas time and loved the way the house smelled. Neat that it is blooming now. Pretty blooms too.

Yes Ma'am, love the springtime!

This mornings' surprise...

(but I need to separate it from the RED hardy amaryllis ~ lol)
