The long view

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

We all enjoy seeing shots of individual blooms, but I know many of us lust to see the complete beds of our fellow gardeners. I thought it might be fun to watch the progression of each other's beds through the seasons. I took this shot a week or two ago and already there are so many changes. Would love to see everyone else's!! I'll get a few more shots tomorrow.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Nitey-nite!

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

I posted full shots last year. I can get some early ones - gonna see a lot of fences.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I did too. Right now there are too many empty areas!

North Augusta, ON

oooo, I want to see fences. I'm gonna start a fence thread...

(Zone 4a)

Venu very nice!! I seem to lean toward fences that have gardens planted in front of them if that makes sense...i sort of like the more empty space in the middle with all kinds of flowers going around! Very nice.....I love the size of your yard!!!

(Zone 4a)

Good idea threegardeners! I love fences...they provide another way to grow vines and they do offer character....I like that you can also put planter boxes on them too!!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

if it's not raining I will go take some for you tomorrow

very nice Allison:
I like to see the varied combinations of plants gardeners come up with. What have you planted with the lilies?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - and lots of work put in!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

OMG is that a back hoe? Your concept and the changes are beautiful.

sad part is on the shed side of the house we are knocking down the old shed... and putting up a few raised beds there and moving the new to be built shed in the back right corner of the yard this year

You must be making good use of every inch!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

trying like heck... if it weren't for the slopes it would be much easier... my ankles don't like that sort of thing... but I am trying to fill those spaces with worth while plants and trying to block out the weeds at the same time.... not been easy that's for sure... but after you see all that just want to remind you I didn't know what gardening was before we bought this house in 2004

:)

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

You did great on the "learning curve" everything looks wonderful.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Slopes are hard work but they offer you the opportunity to have a 3-D look to the garden.
