A sticky list with real names.

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

I love the fact that there are so many Annie, Ann, Anne, Annmarie (me!) & Anna's on this site!

I have such a common name, yet rarely come across anyone with the same name! lol!

{{{{Murmur/Carol}}}}} I hope you are finding a smigeon of joy in the early spring days here. One little joy at a time in these tough days you're having. I think of you and Steve daily.

Tilly, that is a fine pink-clad lass you have on your hands there! I love being an Auntie and a Mom too. She looks absolutely cheek-pinchable sitting there in her pink suit!

Oneanjl, you've got a fine redhead and a wee little cutie there! Why is it that the older one gets, the more precious the youngsters become?

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

OOOh Annie, so good the hear from you, all the babies are doing just great, can't wait for blooms.

And yes the little Angel is a real screamer, and I mean that as vocal when happy. I have never in all my days seen a child like this one, she does not laugh She Screams. wish she would get hair LOL

Wish I had a voice track on this.

Pooch, some days are pretty rough, but if I can get outside and mow the lawn, re-pot something, even just fill the bird feeders - well, it makes all the difference.

And I too have always loved being a mom, then a grandma, now a great grandma - wouldn't trade for anything. And I have two marvelous nephews, too - they are 26 and 30 and still call me "Auntie Carole." I told them once how happy that made me and they both looked at me in astonishment and said, "Well, that's who you are!"

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Thats is cute Murmur, you are Anntie to them LOL

Mount Angel, OR(Zone 8a)

Annie, Champoeg Park is probably 15 or 20 minutes from Swan Island. The nice thing about Champoeg Park, it also has camping available; tent sites, RV sites, yurts, cabins. It is great.

I am so completely baby deprived right now, except for some of the babies my clients bring with them. Always a joy. So I went back a couple of years and found this photo of my nephew, Reid, having a grand time at my house. He was just the perfect baby! And when Auntie Melissa had him, he could do no wrong!!

He's 4 now and he can do wrong. Believe me. He can do lots of wrong. But still the light of my life!

Pixy ~ now THAT picture touches my soul. Nothing like a good romp in the mud to make a good day better! And if you can't find the mud, then ya gotta make it! Way to go Reid!

Everett, WA(Zone 7b)

Oh my gosh, too cute! Wish my kids would enjoy playing with the dirt in the garden... all they want is play-doh. Drives me crazy. We go outside, and they have all these buckets and shovels, things like that, and the first thing they look for is the play-doh in the garage.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

LOL. Maybe you should bury some play doh in the dirt and have them dig for "treasure".

Issaquah, WA(Zone 7a)

Good to hear you're getting little outings Carol. Every little bit helps.

Tillie, glad to hear on the daylily babies. I'm anxious to see what colors turn up after my guessing at labelling.

Oooh Pixie, another little red head, am I seeing that right? Reid would love to come and play in our driveway: sea of mud until they can pour cement :(

Lenjo! 15-20 MINUTES FROM SWAN ISLAND DAHLIAS! OH MY....What time of year are people mulling over for this gathering?

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

Here are my two little darlings - Delaney is the oldest at 8 months (my granddaughter) and Julien is 6 months (my great grandson). Am I lucky or what??

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Hee hee. That's crazy. And they are carrying around little strands of DNA that they copied from you!!! Can you see Grandma/Greatgrandma in there yet?

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

They both appear to have dimples, which I had when I was younger (just big ol' lines now!!!). And they both have a birthmark between their eyes that runs in our family (it disappears as they get older). Interesting how things travel.

This is me holding them when Julien was brand new, still in the hospital. I was tired after being up all night (pretty much) while he was born. My daughter (his grandma) lives in CA and I was keeping them posted by cell phone.

We tried to get a picture recently of me holding them both, but they are both so much bigger and so full of wiggles that it was impossible to get a good one! Great laughing, though, on everyone's part.

Beautiful babies. Everyone is pretty in pink!

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Love babies, as long as they are not mine, can spoil, can play, can have fun. When the crying starts, give em back to mom. LOL
( only Kidding)

Great pics, Murmur

Carol, I can't even believe you qualify for Great Grandma status. You look ready to belly down to the floor and laugh with the babes.

Kids are such little sponges, ready and eager to learn. Love the pink and white socks! You're ALL pretty in pink, (except the little guy who is dapper in blue, but still pretty.)

Re "Auntie" We called my one and only Auntie, "Auntie" her entire life into her 80's. We'd have it no other way and neither would she. Being an aunt rocks! I've had much fun with my nieces and nephews visiting and staying with us at all ages and still do! Now I get great nieces and nephews and that's just a bonus.

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

Annie, you are very kind! I was 19 when I had my first, my daughter was 24 (almost) when she had her first, and now that one is only 20 with her first. So obviously some of us get started pretty young. And believe me, I get down on the floor with the kids!! I get to see Delaney tomorrow - haven't seen her for awhile. With Steve being so sick, I've missed a lot of time that I would normally have had with them. So I just lap up every precious minute that I can!

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

And there's the beauty of having your kids young - you CAN get down on the floor (and up in the night) with the little ones as they come along.

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

LOL - yup. The first night that Julien was at home, his poor mommy (my granddaughter) was exhausted . . . so I held him and rocked him a good chunk of the time. Now, that's not to say that I wasn't one exhausted great grandma the next day, but I sure wouldn't trade that time - and wait till I tell him about it later!

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

oh I agree...there are many positives of being young and being a grammy!
My DGS was born this past Dec, just BEFORE I hit 40 :oD at first I was horrified that I would be a grandma at 39....but now...well, I look forward to taking him fishing, and camping, and hiking and basically all the stuff I did with my own kids! LOL!

oh and my DGS got my dimples too! :oD

Omigosh - couldn't you just eat that little guy up???!!! You are indeed a very young granny . . . I'm so glad you are enjoying it all!!

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

oh yes....definitely enjoying it....
My Daughter is only 18, and gets frustrated at times... so grammy gets to step in and calm DGS down...my daughter is absolutely amazed that I can calm him down and she cant.... of course she's agitated and upset and baby picks up on it...whereas, I'm not agitated or upset cause I know I can hand him back at any time lol! so, grammy steps in and baby immediately calms down and my DD thinks I'm a godsend...and I get to cuddle him...a win-win-win for me! lol!

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

Love it, Grammy - that just makes me smile!!!

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

lol, okay one more pix...then I'm off to bed :o)

This was easter morning... He has the most precious eyes :o)

Annmarie He is so cute! You are so blessed!

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Wow, the week sure went by fast! I just don't get to come here as often as I used to.....I guess that's what a job will do to ya? LOL

The babies sure are cute! My babies are 10 and 7 now....I feel old. I was getting the baby itch not so long ago, but that is impossible now...unless by divine intervention. LOL

Tilly, that is quite a project you have going there! Will be watching for the finished product.

Hi to Annie and Melissa.....and everyone else who has joined the thread! ^_^

Joanne, Champoeg Park sounds so familiar, but can't think of where it is right now. I will have to go look that one up. I would love to have a RU when (or is that if?) the weather warms up. I think it is supposed to be nearing 70° tomorrow.....and I am feeling achy like I have the flu just in time for the nice weather. :o(

Ok, bedtime for me!

I know what ya mean, Tills. Although, my projects aren't quite as big as that one. lol I have a million sewing projects to get done and I just bought more fabric for a quilt I want to make. The weather was beautiful today, so I should have been outside planting things, but I ended up not getting anything done today! And I just got this wonderful planter yesterday as a gift and I really want to start painting it and sealing it and getting it in use! Here is the planter: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/839720/ How come I didn't get more done in all the years that I didn't work? LOL

How was your weather up there today?

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

That is cool, what are or have you done to it as yet? I have not done sewing in a long time, my yard has my control, for now. I do needle point, but have to be in the mood.Which I don't have lately, just my new babies (plants) LOL

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Haven't done anything to it yet.....it's still sitting in front of my fish tank. LOL I want to do some fingerprint pics on it though....like this: http://www.amazon.com/Emberleys-Complete-Funprint-Drawing-Book/dp/0316174483 I have that book and love the ideas in it. Then I think I will seal it, fill it with plants and chain it to my front porch. ^_^

I have not explained myself on this thread yet, so here goes:

I am AnalogDog, aka Rob Blomquist, rob dot blomquist at gmail dot com.

AnalogDog was invented to be able to use a username which would be 99.99% acceptable to all places on the net which needed one. Typically if the user exists, I just have to try my standard passwords to get on the site. I used to be, and still am on eBay, AlphaTriDog. I was a triathlete in the 90's with an online group that liked to use nicknames, where I was TriDog. I attemped to use TriDog on ebay, and found that there were far too many. AlphaTriDog was born.

Later, when I realized that I was not Alpha anything, and I did not want that to even be implied, I worked out AnalogDog. It has worked almost everywhere I need, except at lego.com, where it was not allowed. Apparently they are extremely worried about pedophiles, something I never had thought about with regard to being AD.

Sometimes life is far too complicated for me, Rob!

Right now I just wish I was at Hostajim's and/or Dragonfly.

Oh, Murmur, that was soooo heartfelt. Stamped and approved, here is your pass for the next trip. wishing you all the best.

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

I confess - I was really really really feeling sorry for myself yesterday! I so wanted to be with everybody and see everything. But as we know - there will be another time!!!

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

And I was feeling sorry for you!! I can't imagine how tough it is, to be so tethered and yet not actually able to fix anything on your own.

If it's any consolation, we didn't make the ferry and had to wait. I didn't get home until 8 p.m. and was pooped this morning. I watered everything well last night when I got home, which, of course, just caused it to pour this morning. When am I going to mow my lawn? Eeeek!! It's so long now that I'm going to have to mow it twice. Good thing there's a beverage holder in the lawn mower. :-p

Mount Angel, OR(Zone 8a)

We did get a few nice days here a little to the south of you Washingtonians. I got my lawn mowed and helped dd get hers done too. Looks like this latest spell of rain may not last too long; at least let's hope so.
My dh wants to come north to Seattle to a Mariner game, we have a train credit voucher to use. Where's a good place to stay close to Safeco Field? I would definitely have to find some gardens or nurseries close to see?
