Pagoda dogwood - Cornus alternifolia 'Golden Shadows'.
Spring Blooms - Part 4
Ah Victor, each one is prettier then the next!
Which season is best in your garden?
Thanks Deb. Any but winter!
I just bought a hellebore that fades to a pretty light green.
nice Spirea Victor. I don't have any but I notice them round here even on the edge of woods. Are they fairly easy? Bleeding Heart will always be a fav of mine.
S. japonica is 'too easy' - it can be invasive. This one is thunbergii 'Ogon' and is one of my favorite plants. It's a three-season all-star. I'm trying to post two more nite shots and can't seem to!!

The post just does not appear! Had this happen only one other time. Only with a photo.
Finally!!!
love the night shots!
great shot again Victor... I would love to take a stroll around your yard
Victor, love these pix! That spirea is great looking. They are deer-proof I hear. Is that your experience, too?
Victor ~
The color on the pagoda dogwood is very striking!
good morning every one: Went to HD here and saw all the annuals for the summer. I was tempted but know we will get some pretty cold weather before Mid May. Snapdragons are big on my tist this year and I want certain colors and saw them what a temptation.
HD probably sells them early to get repeat customers after these plants turn to "cooked spinach "in a few weeks.
Display looked beautiful .
started off with beautiful flowers ended in flames.... not good
LOL Allison, it is good....burning the fields makes them lush and green and kills the ticks.
oh I wasn't sure if it was a controlled burn or just mother nature... beautiful flowers hope your happy flower feeling stays with you all season!
