Spring Blooms - Part 4

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No problem, David. Looking good. Yes, arborvitae get real big eventually. Nice shot, Pat. I tend to forget all my bulb varieties. The tags usually get lost.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Thankyou Victor. I finally got the daffs and vinca all blooming together as it was planned in my head when I planted them. Blues and yellows are one of my fav. color combos.
JoAnn I don't think that is corydalis. I think they are much more of a thin long tubular shaped flower. Four petals are more unusual than 5 or 6 but the foliage maybe a wood anemone of some kind. It does look familiar but I cannot put my finger on it. Try the plant ID forum they will get it quickly I'm sure. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/plantid/all/
Don't forget to let us all know too. :)

Common name for this wildflower is Cutleaf Toothwart.

docgipe....excellent. Make the best you can out of it. I'll tell people it took me twenty years of work to get it looking like it does.

Oh wow Victor, gorgeous scenery around your place for driving about, must be hard to keep your eyes on the road. Sail boats would look like summer with a little bit more leaves on the trees.

I took this one about a month ago before winter came back with a vengence!

A few days ago. It started dropping flowers by the bunches because of the snow the night before.

Thanks. Jo Ann. I love hellebores! Their colors are starting to fade a little now, but still one of the best winter/spring bloomers out there imo. But, I'm still sooo jealous of your azaleas blooming! I think that mine are at least another month off. That's ok. I can't just look at yours!

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

What azalea is that in your picture?? It's an odd purple for an azalea. I love it though!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very nice redchic - I agree about hellebores. Been posting many pics of them!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

So much for Photoshop picture adjust automatic. The flowers are really more majenta.
I have captured your helebores and am saving them in my "paint this" folder. I would like to paint them this winter.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

Either way, it's a nice bright color for this time of year photoshop or not! Wow, thanks for painting them.., in advance! Can you share a picture of the painting when it's all done? I seriously have a hard time with stick figures and have to use a protractor for accurate circles (not kidding!) Although, they are great looking circles! So I am in complete awh of anyone who can do more.

The "sunshine collections" are great Victor. It just just makes me think that I need to move them to the top of my "plants to get list" instead of where there are placed now (in the middle some where).

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, I like them a lot. I like the 'stinking' ones as well. I should be getting more hellebores in a delivery this week.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I'll make a note to myself and send a jpg when it's done.
Might take months or weeks. I have a lot on my "plate" right now.
CT scan of my brain today, colonoscopy Wed. Hang my solo show Friday,VIP opening next Wed. I sometimes start a paint surge when the poppies are blooming.

Flame azalea, a wild native growing in our Atlanta yard. We are in the north part of the city. The terrain is less flat than the rest of the Atlanta and we are close to the Chattahoochee river.

Victor, the hub is not around. What button do I press to get the correct size? Pixels? OK, OK, you can have the Beaver Cleaver room, borrow the scooter, Union Royce, and Red Ryder bb gun.

Sure signs of spring, Jo Anne??

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Laurel, is there a 'resize' option in your photo software?

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

Yes. Steve is loading up for me in ZoomBrowser and then he showed me how to move it to Photoshop. But keep it simple here. I can make a computer smoke in no time.

L

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

I'm jealous Victor! I hope that that's a large plate Jo Anne! That's a lot of stuff going on. Good luck with it all! All right, off to test my luck and remove sheets and plastic from stuff as they say that the majority of the snow is over.... for now anyhow.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Resizing should allow you to specify the H X W in pixels.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

No flowers here yet - daffs have buds.

Took one while working today.

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

So you are saying I should specify size 800x600 in pixels? I was using inches. Just putting 7" in and then Steve said the other was automatic. I'll try pixels.

Are you making a reservation? Bring your own Skin So Soft. The bugs get fierce in summer.

Off to feed the myriad of pets. Will return in a while.

I'm just old and the CT was to check if there has been any TIA's. You youngsters shouldn't get too complaisent.
After fifty it's patch and repair.

This species tulip looks weedy in the lawn with thin leaves sticking up a foot or so but the flowers are nice.

Maypop...I don't know! This is the first year I've planted any bulb. The species tulips are supposed to come back.
