I love rabbit manure on my garden, and this may not be much help, but it is my actual experience. I had some property once which had rabbit manure all over it. So I knew that it was rabbit country. I had never grown carrots, and wanted to experiment. I placed some clear plastic over my newly germinated carrot seedlings, and they always did fine until I had to move the plastic because plants just cannot go on living like that. Maybe you can find something a little more sophisticated than my simple clear sheet of plastic like a sheet of plastic with a framed structure.
