Me too ......NOW!!
DG Names.....What's your real name??
I will bookmark it for my DSIL, who wants to start his own rose garden this year. Thanks for the link, Brigitte.
Absolutely amazing, Brigitte!
Thanks everyone.
Gloria ...LOL ..what are you doing in the NE gardening forums.Great to see you :-)
I noticed while I was cruising quickly that there is a elisabethclark from Maine.
Who is she ? tried to send her a mail since she spelles her name with a s instead of z just like my middlename, one doesn't see it that often.
Another shout out from Maine.........
I've been watersedge for a while now but, when I renew my membership soon, I might change it to something more rose like myself. If Pendulina is available, I might go for that. Otherwise, it'll just have to be Spinossisima.
Mean time, just call me Karl.
Hi Karl! What about Karlossisima?
Hi Karl,
how are YOUR roses doing ?
I remember your favorits are the Spinossisima's.
Good to hear from you again, Karl.
Karl, I still want to know what strain those HUMUNGOUS Delphiniums you grow are.
Hi Karl and welcome back!! It's good to hear from you again. You are already on the list cause i found your name on a thread someplace!! Eleanor
JD, Karls HUMUNGOUS Delphiniums are Pacific Giants but you need to live in Maine to grow em that big. (wink) Thats why I have some started! LOL
Hi Karl!
Yes, those are Pacific Giants.
The roses are doing fine . Got a new one called 'Rose de Cistercien' that I didn't know the hardiness on and it came through fine w/out protection so it must be a hardy one. Got R. spin. altaica last fall and that came through nicely as well. They're all looking good. The deer even gave them a break this winter but I can't say the same for my cedars and rhodies.
Anyway, thanks for all the good words.
Back to the greenhouse to pot up more hanging baskets.
P.S. Just went to Everlasting Farms in Bangor yesterday. They have one of the best selections of bedding plants that I've ever seen in a nursery. (and in 20+ yrs as a professional gardener, that's a lot) A very worthwhile trip for all you Mainers.
Welcome Brigette!
Carol
After 2 days of rain had a chance to weed one of the iris beds. More pumilas in bloom, picked up my first 2 ticks of the season disposed of them while they were still crawling but it makes me feel itchy just the same.
Thank you Carol, glad to be here,
Brigitte
Hi, everyone I should have posted here sooner but I kept forgetting. I've been welcomed by many of you already.
My real name is Margarita.
But I go by the nickname Midge.
I like Midge its nice and short like me.
With or without salt??
Hi Midge! It's nice to meet you.
:-)) Victor with salt- I like the bite.
Hi Lynn I'm going to call you mamsita if its okay with you. I like that name.
Mamasita is fine. It's a fun name. I like the salt with mine, too!
Mamasitas like margaritas!!
Si!
Let see, you dip the glasses in crusty salt and lemon juice and then freeze them?
Hi Midge, from a very close DG neighbor.
Hi, Midge, and welcome to the NE forum.
Hi Louise- I'm 15 min. away from the shore. Love the shore. Jen’s close by too.
Hi Victor I once met a Remy Martin at Disney.
I only met Goofy.
I met Minnie Mouse, and a fairy in a green dress.
Never been to Disney. Hope to make it one day. Hi Midge!
I've been to Disney too many times to count my sis used to live down in Fl and then after I got married would go down to Daytona for Bike Week and have to take a day out for Disney. Have pics with Donald and Chip of Chip and Dale.
The Disney that I went to was Disney Land in L.A. That's were minnie mouse was. I also rode a mule down a steep canyon. I was sure glad that mule knew where he was going.
Hola Midge. Bienvenidos a la mundo de NE Forum.
I've been to both Disneyworld and Disneyland. Funny thing, when my parents first took me to disneyland when I was only five , at the time, i was not living in this country, I lived in Central America, and when i went, I did not like american food, I kept telling my parents, I want rice and beans, and you know back then and even now, you do not find that in Disney, maybe in specialty restaurants, anyway, after the fact that i would not eat in Disney, because i wanted ethnic food, and after I fainted, I do not know how my parents got me to eat! but i did eat and survived and i am no longer skinny!! TOO BAD, I wish I did not like american food but i do, and guess what i am not skinny,,,,,,,rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.............Clem
wow i bet he did.... my niece thought she was all big and bad when she reached the height requirement at bush gardens and insisted we go on big bad wolf... it doesn't have a floor ... feet just dangle and i think it was suspended from above so the thing swung sideways around the curves... so we went while on the ride the harness was so big i couldn't see her so i put my hand on her leg and she clamped on so tight.... then i knew she was in trouble.. and we were only half way through ....at the end of the ride she was pale as a ghost and couldn't speak for a moment that seemed like forever.... i picked her up and she nearly choked me grabbing me around the neck... then finally screamed "I WANT MY MOMMY" and cried
I felt terrible
I can't do the rollercoaster thing anymore, but I was on Big Bad Wolf when I was around 20... It didn't effect me as much as the drop on Lochness Monster... My knees buckled after getting off that one.
That's great! I love Disney. The only bad thing is that you need a vacation after the vacation!
Nice pics, Celeste. It's always so much fun there.
