If we can't find another one of her, Sally, I may have to keep her and start babies galore for all of us..............I am going to send her pic to Jo today and find out what I can and if she has more of her................

Thanks for coming so far, Sally.........to my house................

Is it Apache Redcoats maybe?

Let me go to First class and see what the pic looks like.......now to AVSA........No, Sally, I don't think it is Apache Redcoats...........I emailed Jo but haven't heard from her and I included a picture for identification. Maybe I will hear soon from her.

Susan, google the words African Violet wasps...............then click images on the top left..........and you will see all kinds wasps.........with their bustled foliage.........

I don't know the definition of them but Senk is known as a big hybridizer of wasps.

(Zone 1)

I love the wasp violets too ... I just thought they were called that because the flowers kinda stand up on those long stems and looks like wasps flying! LOL, that's my own interpretation! ^_^

South, TX

Yes, the flowers look like wasp wings. Long, and they stand up on top. I don't think all wasps have bustles, but many do. They are adorable. I LOVE the bustles, little fancy plants! I also have Numph. I got them at Bluebird.

Violet Gallery has a lot of them and so does Fay Wagman who has her site up and running again although she emailed to say that not all of her offerings are up yet, but will be before convention time.
