I really think it must be DG because I don't have any problems sending my adult kids' pics and things. Maybe they are working on the new site of selling and buying.......

I will post some more tomorrow. I love shopping at Wally World, too.

Wow ladies, what AMAZING pictures last night!
I was SO frustrated last night when I got home from work. Guess what I did? Last weekend I thought it would be a good idea to add some chopped up spaghnum moss to my mix......NOT a good idea. Woke up yesterday morning and there was MOLD growing on EVERYTHING! Came home from work and had to unpot OVER 50 strep babies which were too small originally when I removed them from the mother leaves and now after this traumatic event, I don't think a single one will live. I got impatient and removed them from the mother leaves too early. I always say I'm not going to do that and still do.

Sometimes it really STINKS to be as obsessive/compulsive as I am. Needless to say.....I don't think any of them are going to live. :(

I will NEVER put the spaghnum in my mix again! BIG TIME learning mistake!

XO
Kim

Gail your plants are always beautiful. I agree with you Circus Time is special.

What a wonderful way to start the morning, with all these beautiful blooming flowers!!!!
Gail, you sure can grow them my friend, very nice

Oh Kim,I hope your little streps make it.Maybe the repotting will make them jump and grow.

Susan, your chirita is too cute in that cup and saucer.

This is strep Neils delightful.I shouldn't let it bloom cause it's such a small plant but I couldn't help myself.LOL.I owe some ladies d-mails and will get to them in the next few days, please bear will me.

Janich, very pretty photos! That violet is precious, so happy!!!!!!!

(Zone 1)

Bought these two from the lady in our AV club. She always sells duplicates or ones she doesn't want anymore when she is downsizing and trying to make room on her stands.

On the left is "Molly's Folly" and on the right is "Colossal"

edited to say: She only charged $4.00 for the first one and $3.00 for the other! Not a bad deal in my book! I also got a couple of little babies for 50 cents each and some leaves that she gives away.

Lovely Plants Lin...I love the variegation on the left one and both have such yummy shades of pink...your favorite...so full and pretty..,makes me think Spring when I look at them!!

Jannich..is that av Ness Crinkle Blue??Looks like it to me..but that don't mean it is..lol..OOO I just love seeing the baby streps 1st blooms..That is really a cute bloom.!!

Kim...I am so sad right along with you..Hey don't get discouraged..I think like jannich said they might just perk right up in a few days after you get them repotted.Oh live and learn..how well we all know that feeling..I know it gets frustrating but hang in there..those babies might surprise you : )

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

How pretty! What a GREAT deal Lin :)
They look VERY happy.
Jannich, you DO grow AV's *lol* and they are happy too :)

Lin- Fabulous purchase! You know I love that pink one! At work we got in some small easter cactus'. One was a soft mauvey pink- had to have it! Did make me think of you with our love of pink!

Kim- I'm so sorry. Keeping fingers crossed for you that they'll 'snap' out of it!-You're so good and careful that if it's possible you'll pull it off!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

My goodness, what beautiful pictures. I get so excited when I see them.

Lin, that is a bargain for those beauties!

Jan, I am so impressed with you Ness' Crinkle Blue. Wow, you can grow them. That may be the prettiest Crinkle Blue I have seen. What a pretty strep that is.......haven't seen that one.

Kim, you sound like me! Just when I think everything is figured out and plants are looking good, I try something new that doesn't work......maybe that is a trait of our group of people called 'compulsive obsessive'. (LOL)

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

These are some 1st bloomers..Grown from leaves I struck last year...I love new blooming babies :)
1st..Bishop...Can't wait til it gets bigger..edited to add: and prettier!!

OOOOH congratulations Momma Nancy! Those are SOO beautiful!
What a GREAT job you did.
Isn't it an awesome feeling to say "I grew that from a leaf"?
GREAT growing my friend! I'm SO proud of you!!
You go girl *high, five*!

Kim

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

No greater feeling on earth Kim..thanks for the compliment..LOL..of course you know... in order for me to get one nice one I need to start a ton of leaves..always end up pitching more duds than good ones..but when I finally get one right....lol..

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Nance,

You said you started them from leaves last fall (wheels are turnin')....can you tell me, what size pot are they in now? I often wonder if things just grow slow for me or if I'm just too impatient *lol*

XO

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Got ahead of myself there Kim..lol... with all my excitement..edited above...I Actually started the leaves in the spring and seperated babies to their own pots last fall..They are just in 2 1/2 inch pots yet. It usually takes me anywhere from 6 to 9 months *after* I seperate the babies from mama before I get any blooms. Its usually a full year from leaf to 1st bloom for me... I know alot of people seem to get alot faster results than me...but they just don't grow any faster for me no matter how much I beg them!!

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh now THAT is refreshing *lol* I'm in the same exact boat with you Nancy and get discouraged that things just don't go from baby to full bloomin' plant in a week *lol* I want EVERYTHING in 4 inch pots from the minute I separate them *lol*

See, I'm right......it's just me being impatient. *lol* Somehow I kind of thought that but then again I didn't know if there was something I wasn't doing that would speed up the process either so I just thought I'd ask.

I'm pretty relieved to hear you say that :)

Kim

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

LOL Kim..no speedy way that I know of...I think Gail is one who can zip them out faster if I remember right...slow...slow..for me

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Wow is all I can say Nancy! I hope in our trade you share a leaf with me! I will have lots of things to send you but you like the same avs as I do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Thank you Gail...I am already running around seeing what I all can snatch a leaf from for our trade....trying to find ones you don't already have is the tricky part....
