Spring Blooms - Part 3
If it is squirrels, I have plenty!! I'm not sure what purpose they serve, or any rodent, except giving us humans a hard time!! Eleanor
Love all the pretty blooms everyone. It seems all the critters do too.
Nice crocus bed, Sarah.
I may just have my first crocus bloom of the season today. I haven't checked it yet, as the little one is still being very 'busy'. But I will sure check it at naptime (for her). The crocus had a bud that looked like it was ready to burst open when I checked them yesterday.
Victor, stop snooping in the neighbors' yards, you might get arrested! (again)
Niiiicccce!
Finally something I planted,to show on this thread.New house, lots a spring supprises. The deer didn't get em
Jo Ann
Nice, Jo Ann.
i don't know which thread to ask this on, so i'll jump into this one.
When can i dig and divide daylilies? Now? Soon? i have a LOT (for my area) of Happy Returns.
i also have echinacea (maybe), dianthus, and coreopsis ready to go. And who wants liriope? Or oregano?
And can i divide tarragon that way - i grew a monster of it last year...
thanks, o great experts of the NE forum...
Daylilies can be divided almost any time so yes, spring is a good time. Same for the others. Tarragon I have not grown, but don't see why it would be different.
i know that i did some daylily dividing in the fall, but as it got colder, people who know things like this told me to wait till spring, so i was just wondering if it was spring enough yet.
If you see growth starting, then yes.
Way to go,Celeste! I have noticed animal damage on iris foliage.
wow - is that really a muscari? You must be super close!
(To me, it looks more like the chiondoxa i have before it opened - my muscari have usually been more tightly packed than that... But you probably have cooler kinds than me ^_^)
Got to love that color!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice, Allison.
seeing those trees makes me want to go to branch brook park.... the whole thing is lined with cherry blossoms... crummy neighborhood... beautiful park
I love Cherry Blossoms. My Brother returned to Japan time and time again so he could be there when the Cherry Tree's bloomed. He said it is one of the prettest things he's ever seen.
Wow! Gorgeous, Allison!
too bad it's on the newark / bloomfield border.... lock the car doors
:)
Patti, that is one well-travelled helebore. You got it at Adams? Was it marked as black or did it just come as surprise? Love Le Petit Bistro...went there for Easter dinner w/ hubby
Thats beautiful!!
Onewish1, great shots. I would risk a visit to see them. Thanks
daisygrrl, I bought it as 'Ruse Black' but didn't know what it would look like. It is not thriving yet, but I am hopeful. I love the Bistro too, plus the story that the owner sold it to his chef, but kept working as the front of the house man is a cool twist. When our son was working around the corner at the wine store he became friends with everyone there, so we were treated very well when ever we ate there. We will make a trip over at some point to enjoy another fine meal there. We have extended family in Hudson, so we will do visit the area often. Patti
it's not bloomfield... it's belleville.... cracking up in my old age
:)
funny thing about that park i went there after taking a 6 week photography class.... it's was our 2nd to last lesson.. did a ton of color shots and black & whites... and my friend had her wedding pictures taken there during the big bloom and we wrecked every satin dyed shoe and dress that came near the muddy grass... NICE.... the whole rest of the reception I felt at ease .... feeling like i was coming from visiting my horses
Beautiful, Anita!
thanks Victor. I go in late to work today and now I wish I was off. Blue skies and warm!
Gorgeous photos everyone. Love your collage Anita and the park pics are just wonderful too. Spring is just popping out all over, finally!
