LOL Victor. I like your hummer, he never leaves and probably doesn't eat much either. Nice pics, my daffs are looking the same as yours. A couple of nice sunny warm days ought to get things going.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Beautiful pics Victor, thanks I need that! LOL
I did find a nub of green here and there while raking in the non-snow places of my yard.

Rhinebeck, NY(Zone 5b)

Love your pix, Victor. A question: do Bambi and his posse like to eat those beautiful pieris-es?

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Wonderful weather, and found my chocolate vine is blooming (Akebia)...love the scent.

Nice, Sharon. Does it really smell like chocolate? Daisy - no, they don't bother with it. I have lots of other goodies for them!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

great shots Victor

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Eastern Redbud (Judas tree) in bloom, too...

Yes, Victor...it does smell like chocolate. I inhaled a lot today.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

chocolate .... yum

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Now if only I could eat it......

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Not a good idea....then you wouldn't have a plant. If your anything like me, you don't stop till it's ALL gone!

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

I have just been sitting here thinking...Dairy Queen is just down a couple of streets.....they have the best chocolate desserts.......
I don't dare keep chocolate in my house. I inhaled a box of dark chocolate covered altoids just yesterday....I hate when I do that. Well, not really, I loved every minute of it.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I did a walk through of the nursery today, so many nice things. Virburnim, Holly, blueberries. Hellebore, but not sure I liked this one. I've been walking through each week since they opened. Fun to see what's new. No major purchase yet.

Thanks Allison. Redbuds should bloom soon here too, Sharon.

Tucson, AZ(Zone 9b)

A little something from Arizona! :) Clematis, Cezanna. Enjoying all your pictures! Linda

Nice! Looks like Will Goodwin.

Tucson, AZ(Zone 9b)

I did a google search on Will Goodwin and it does look similiar. This is the only clematis I have. It has struggled here and I thought it was dead after it died to the soil this summer. I have it in a more shady location now so hope it will do better.

Here's mine.

It drives me crazy, every day i walk outside and marvel at how many more wonderful green things are poking out of the earth - but i see neighbors and they say, "Gee, things should start coming up soon, shouldn't they?" i say, there's lots and lots of things and they zone - if it isn't flowers they just don't see it! (i mean, 6 - 8" tulip foliage in front of the house in the mulch seems kind of obvious to me...)
sigh...

Tucson, AZ(Zone 9b)

They really do look alike. Such a nice color isn't it? Mine has 7 petals and yours seems to have 6.

Very. It's one of my favorites. I hear you, Amy. Most people are flower-centric.

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Congrats, Eleanor!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

very pretty

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

When the only thing blooming is crocus, leaves definitely count. Buds are even better, now with some sun things should start popping I hope.
Those clems are really pretty, such a nice blue.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I think that my rhubarb is going to flower. I didn't know that rhubarb had flowers. Now I'm more confused than usual. Sigh.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

The Rhubarb I know does flower but only after it puts up a huge stalk ,the flowers are clusters of yellow green balls. This happens in July or so.

Van Etten, NY(Zone 5a)

I finally have some to post.
First yellow species crocus.
