I have some of the same flowers blooming, just a lot more of them.
Pictures from around my yard.

Spring blooms - Part 3 - What do you see?
An impulse buy... I had always admired these but never actively shopped for one. This one I found on a street corner plant sale.
In my "assumed" plant knowledge, I selected this one that had what I thought were buds.
When I got it home and inground, I had misgivings. I suspected it was done blooming. Dumb me! How hard is it to ask...
Callistemon
That looks like a Fairy Duster to me Podster.
Podster,
Is that Callistemon citrinus you bought hardy in you area?
Dale_a I am unsure of the cultivar but if it is citrinus, it says hardy to 8a. I will have to go crush a leaf.
There is a business in town that has them lining the drive and theirs are hardy. I am in an even more protected climate ~ always staying a few degrees warmer. I was honestly more concerned about drainage when we get our 12-19 inches of rain in 8 hours! Grrrrr.
Rita ~ what are the tall blue blooms mixed in with your nearly wild roses? They favor an allium?
Placenciarita, the leaves on your noid bush reminds me of honeysuckle, but I don't know if it ever makes a bush. Mine is a vine.
I didn't see my Lapeirousia on that site, but found Lapeirousia laxa elsewhere. Now I remember....it was called Painted Petals where I found it! A pretty flower.
Linda-I think you mean Painter's Palet. It has markings on the leaves and sends up tiny blooms. Returns from roots and reseeds freely. I like it but you can get too much soon. I took a flat of it to the sale but did not sale all so if someone is looking I got some.
For those that do not "know" Rita, she is the most generous person I have ever met. I hope to really meet her and see her garden in person soon. If it is even close to the photos, it must be a sight. I think I was able to collect several of your wants and will bring them to you.
Others that posted wants, I think I have yours too. I had my list but too much for an old man to remember.
My best seller was the oak leaf hydrangea and the mock orange. Will have to go do inventory of the other things and post some for trades and drop by friends. I still seem to have a small nursery.
Need more coffee as the body is going slow this morn.
D
Is the tall thing with the almost wild rose a Verbena bonariensis? It looks like it to me.
Yes DD, I agree on Ritas' generousity and absolutely agree that her gardens are something I would aspire to... Her NOIDs are always so unusual they are a challenge.
If and when you go see her, I hope you will take a camera! 8 ) I would love a picture tour as long as I can't see them in person...
Silverfluter, I just caught your post.... is there a Fairy Duster?
Yes, I had a Fairy Duster once. It died and I can't remember why. They are really neat plants.
It is very unique. Someday I'll get another one. I don't even remember if it's hardy here.
According to PlantFiles, it is hardy in 8a. I hope to find out...
I think I'll wait and see what yours does.:) That isn't a Texas native is it?
I have Calliandra eriophylla, which is called Fairy Duster. It's native to the Southwest and W. Texas. A related plant, Calliandra conferta, I've seen in my area, but it's not sold at any nurseries as far as I know. C. eriophylla is cold-hardy here, although it sometimes partly dies back in colder winters.

That is a really exotic looking plant Linda.
I don't know my Texas native plants like I should but don't think C. citrinus is native.
LindaTX8 ~ I know you prefer natives... is your Calliandra native? It has a delightful bloom and very pretty foliage.
Yes, it is native to West Texas. Given some sun and good drainage, it's happy.
Hmmm. That's good to know. I bought the one I used to have a Schumacher's in New Braunfels. Next time I go through there I'll stop and see if they still have it. I have the perfect place for it if it can take full sun.
You might try Natives of Texas in Kerrville to see if they have the native variety. You could give them a call before driving. They're just down Hwy. 16.

DdeTex, Podster, thank you for the kind words. As you know, you can get anything to look good in the right light. David, I hope that there will be some blooms left when you visit in May.
Silverfluter, the noid bush is not a vine. It was trimmed into a tree form at the nursery where I bought it at Redentas in Duncanville. Thanks for your help.
stephanietx, thank you for the positive ID on the verbena bonariensis.
LindaTX8, that is a very interesting plant. I sure would like to have one.
Pretty foliage ~ what am I looking at?
Keep looking... your rose picture is there somewhere ~ lol. ... 8 ))
Thread's getting long and stuff is really starting to take off and bloom so I started a new thread.
