My Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow started blooming yesterday, but I didn't get a chance to take a picture until today. I wasn't sure it would bloom this spring since it bloomed out of season the first week of October.

My first clematis bloom.

BTW, Tracie, your stuff just gets better and better loved that last TB iris!

My first gardenia. It's amazing how one flower fills the whole patio with fragrance.

I know I already posted a brugmansia bloom but check out this spring flush. The plant looks pathetic this year though. The leaves are tiny, probably because we haven't any rain.

Elphaba ~ love your YTT! What an intense blue... Mine is blooming earlier than normal here.

Your plant looks so healthy too. Mine had a battle with whiteflies so the old leaves are pitiful looking, but it's getting some new spring leaves. There's one about half a mile from here that's taller than the house it's planted next to and it's covered with flowers. I wonder how old it is? The house was probably built in the 40s.

Mine are in pots. I have two different ones. I have worked up my courage to put them in ground this year... maybe... now I'm wondering where if they get that big!

Pretty Tracie!

Podster, I have a feeling that YTT is an old one. I've never seen another one that big. It has blooms from the bottom to the top too. It's amazing. Mine has been in the ground a few years and it's still small, but it's the more tropical one with slightly larger flowers so it's probably more delicate.

a new spring bulb, Chionodoxa luciliae alba, White Snow Glory. i was expecting the more common blue variety, was suprised by this pretty little flower.

What!! Who has gardenias already?!!

Mine bloom like clockwork every year beginning the last week in May, through the second to third week of June. We wait for them all year long. I am jealous of people who have them sooner!

Red Oak, TX

I am waiting for daylight to get back into the yard this morning.
Here are a few pictures I took yesterday.

The dogwood vine is a new one on me... does it only bloom in springtime like the tree?

Very pretty photos in your tropical oasis, Rita!

Red Oak, TX

podster, yes it only blooms in the springtime. Dogwood vine is what my friend said it was when she gave me a start several years ago. It is much prettier than the picture. It has no fragrance.
New plant for me, Hardy red Gloxinia

I have (er had) two hardy Gloxinia. Bolivian sunset which is a winter bloomer and delightful. And Chic which I don't remember seeing... need to go look for it.

I noticed this weekend that most of my favorites have spiky foliage. Guess that appeals to me, almost more than the blooms.

Tonight, I found this one tucked on the back side of the bird bath. What a delightful surprise.

Louisiana Iris ~ an old gift from an old friend. Fragrant and beautiful!

Dale is that Nierembergia 'Starry eyes'? If so, good to hear it does well for you. It is supposed to be available at a plant sale I am going to Friday and it's high on my list.

Tampa, FL(Zone 10a)

sweezel,

yes it is Nierembergia 'Starry Eyes'.

Delphiniums do well in our winters. Mine get a lot of attention, they rebloom as many as three times if the weather stays cool.
