diehrasouthrnr, I made it this time. Yes this is the same plant. I all ways heard it called Mock orange. Mine get about 20ft. tall ,and i dare anyone to try to push thru this stuff. It has KILLER thorns. And a small orange fruit that smells REALLY BAD when crushed. Jerry

Thanks Rita; all my plumeria are in the ground.
India is one of my favorites too, and it has a wonderful spicy fragrance.

Red Oak, TX

Dutchlady1, I have about 4-5 plumerias in pots, ranging from 2ft. -6ft. After they leaf out in the spring, I have this problem of them falling over in the wind, and breaking their branches. Do you have this problem with your plumerias, and if so,do you have any advice for securing them?

Thumbnail by prita

A lot of people in your area have this problem. They generally do one of two things:
1. Plunge the pots in the ground each spring.
2. Plant them in the ground each spring and dig them up and store them bareroot in the winter.

Hope this helps.

Red Oak, TX

texasbigleaves, the vine is a Jasmine, a star or a angelwing, I am not quite sure. I do know that it is a keeper, just for the aroma alone.

No , I do not have a Plumeria 'India'. All the plumerias that I have were given to me by you, even my precious variegated maya.

Dutchlady1, the wind is sometimes very strong in the springtime here. Burying the pots in the ground sounds good right now for the smaller ones, and I might do the bareroot idea for the bigger ones. Thank you.

Hurricane is one of my favorites. It bloomed for the first time for me last year, and I could not stop going outside to look at it.
Here is my picture.... yes, it does look like it's painted, even in real life.

dutch lady i love the pictures of your plumies especially with the water droplets on them

rita that varigate plumie is gorgeous i have never seen a varigated one before.

i am so depressed because i came home from work and my neighbor has hacked back the surinam cherry hedge and all the mother-in-law tongue (nasty weed here anyway) but left a clear view to their back yard. i guess i will have to plant some vines back there to take over
