Great pictures folks.
Love the Towhee Rose. What a beauty!
Six birdie eggs!! How great is that!!
Not much going on here with the birds today.
Rose, thanks so much for sending that nasty cold wind our way today. Yikes, quite a change from yesterday.

Pelle...I guess we are all just bird watching weirdos...and I'm as pleased as punch about it!!
Thanks Mrs. Ed...The Towhee's are a beautiful bird. Still no luck seeing the Cuckoo...I hear them all the time and I'm becoming frustrated!! I told DH I will just have to camp in one spot and stay there all day and hope one shows up. (and yes, his eyes rolled back into his head with that comment)! LOL!
Wallaby..Thanks and yes on both counts especially the little Field Sparrow being full of it! That Song Thrush of yours is gorgeous and he looks like he is full of it also!! LOL!
Thanks GG and sorry about your crummy weather. You will probably be getting the heavy rains we are expecting this evening! This current storm coming in should put us above our average for the YEAR...one of our wettest in history!! I have to wear muck boots when I go outside as it is so muddy everywhere! Butt....everything is green and that is a nice plus! I will be mowing the lawn as soon as it dries out...hopefully sometime this year!! LOL!
Beautiful pics everyone!
Wonderful story Adel!

Very nice pics GP!!
BIRD SEED RECALL
This message copied from Oregon Birders On Line:
FYI:
In the United States Scott's Miracle-Gro has recalled their Morning Song and
Country Pride bird feeding products. The products were treated with
pesticides and fungicides to reduce moth and fungus problems during storage,
the company says. These chemicals weren't approved by the US Environmental
Protection Agency for use in bird feed. The company's statement can be read
on their website: http://www.scotts.com . They downplay the risk, but the
fact that they have removed the products from their dealers' shelves
certainly raises red flags, not only about the products but also about the
company.
Thanks for that important info tiger!
I didn't even know they made bird seed.
We have not had towhees for years. It's good to know theyare still doing well in other places. Miss them.
I've seen and heard reports of a number of osprey returning to the nest sites, but those I'm able to observe regularly seem to always be the last to arrive. I finally saw the female yesterday, near the so far neglected nest.
While watching, I heard her call, and saw another raptor coming near. I expected her mate, but it was a baldy! Wouldn't you know, the darned camera would not focus then, and when she left this tree they flew towards the sun. I was surprised that the osprey successfully detered the eagle. Immediately after she returned to this tree, her mate arrived.
He spent about a minute looking over the nest, then flew to her and attempted to mate.
After a brief encounter, they both flew to the nest, and a third osprey appeared!
I haven't got the pics all edited and sorted yet, so will trickle them in as I go through them.

I saw that yesterday kaperc; that is funny!
Nice pic of the Goldfinch Mrs Ed!
tiger, nice pic;can't wait to see the rest!!
Is this a Northern Parula? If so, it's the first time that I've seen one. I was trying to snap a shot of my Hooded Warbler when this guy flew in and landed in my shot! It was so lucky b/c he sensed that I took his picture through the window and flew away so it was my only chance! I think there's a goldfinch in the foliage above him too.
Tigerlily - great shots and how amazing to see all that action and three ospreys!
Wallaby - I was looking at your Robin and thinking that's the weirdest Robin that I've ever seen and then I remembered where you are! Duh, it's not an American Robin! Thanks for sharing.
Love all the pictures!
That certainly looks like it w/ those white crescents above and below the eye and the green back. He's a beauty!!
Dellrose, I forgot to tell you that I thought your Eastern Towhee shots were great! What beautiful birds they are. Thanks for looking for them and sharing!
Adel, Jeff's story made me cry. I'm so glad that they both made it through their ordeals and that they had each other. What a wonderful person Jeff must be.
Pelle, thanks for your help to make sure that I've IDd him right!
Nice pics adel! Thanks for sharing them w/ us; your quite the traveler!
Is this a Northern Parula?
Yep!
Cormorant (Double Crested?)
Yep!
Golden Eagle ( I don't think it"s an immature Bald).
Sorry, no, it is an immature Bald Eagle. Bill and head shape is wrong for Golden, right for Bald.
