I finally saw the female yesterday, near the so far neglected nest. While watching, I heard her call, and saw another raptor coming near. I expected her mate, but it was a baldy! Wouldn't you know, the darned camera would not focus then, and when she left this tree they flew towards the sun. I was surprised that the osprey successfully detered the eagle. Immediately after she returned to this tree, her mate arrived. He spent about a minute looking over the nest, then flew to her and attempted to mate. After a brief encounter, they both flew to the nest, and a third osprey appeared! I haven't got the pics all edited and sorted yet, so will trickle them in as I go through them.
