Thank you for that story Adel...it was very touching. The Quail to beautiful!
Burn...I know you have snow but you also have Waxwings!! Lucky, Lucky you!
You have green grass Rose!
I feel sorry for that poor Starling burn, it looks so miserable.
Your Goldfinch looks pleased with all that food Mrs Ed, maybe that's why it co-operates!
I can never get over the elaborate Ca Quail, it looks like it belongs in Alice in Wonderland. Very touching story adelbert, the picture says it all.
Robin looking big eyed (and with a neck!)
Wonderful pictures everyone. I love the Redpolls and the Cedar Waxwings.
Wallaby, your pictures and commentary made my day!
GG
Great pics everybody!
Hi everyone. I've been lurking and enjoying all your great photos. Adel, that eagle story is so wonderful. My cousin just sent me this link to an eagle cam you all might enjoy. http://www.friendsofblackwater.org/camhtm2.html
Hope to have some pics soon - the orioles have landed! Saw a beautiful male yesterday and put the feeder out right away. Also, some bluebirds have been hanging around, bathing in the stream and checking out the house we put up for them. Fingers crossed.
That would be great kaperc! We would love to see the Orioles!
Good Luck with the Bluebirds; be sure to keep us posted on that!
Nice pics wallaby! I like the Blackbirds!
burn, Nice pic; I had alot of Doves around today.
Great pics everyone! Nothing new going on at my feeders these days except the Gold Finches are getting their summer feathers and turning more gold every day. I hear lots more singing from the birds so I guess spring is in the air! Loved the story of Freedom. Eleanor
Wallably...love those pics and the little Robin is so cute! And yes we do have lots of green grass now...due to all the rain we have had lately!
Burn...We also have lots of Doves and they have been so active since spring arrived!
Kaperc...I am patiently waiting for the Orioles...congrats on yours and hope you get lots of pics to share here.
You folks in the north east will be getting high winds today...take care. We are expecting another 2-4 inches and flooding again..grrr.
I was able to get a photo of the Eastern Towhee when I went looking for him yesterday...how lucky is that?!! Thought I'd faint...a first for me and geez was I excited. Here is the handsome fella,
Thats great Rose! Congratulations!!!
Beautiful pics of the Towhees!! We don't see too many females. Thank You!!
Thanks Pelle...I hope the Female Towhee comes out of hiding and I can get a good pic of her. She is soooo pretty! If I couldn't post my pics here I would be lost...everyone I know thinks I am nuts!! When I say I have Bluebirds or I saw a Towhee today they do everything but pat me on the head as they say "that's nice"!!
I know what you mean. I get looks like I'm a weirdo when I say I love bird watching. :-)
Rose, just love the towhee pictures. I love the light in his beautiful eyes!!
congrats. No luck finding the cuckoo though???
Excellent shot of the Song Thrush wallaby!
