Absolutely amazing pictures as always! I'm in awe of all of you and your remarkable birds!

Here's a cardinal. I usually have trouble getting pictures of the males. Even if the feet are in focus the body seems to be a glowing blur.

Thanks Pelle!

Here was another attempt at my Hooded Warbler. He's coming to the pond for a bath, but only when it's almost dark, so I haven't gotten a good pic yet. My book says he might stay all summer, but in the past, he's only been here a short time, so I'm taking what I can get! You have to look through a lot of messy foliage - sorry about that!

dellrose, The cedar waxwings aren't here for very long, but I sure enjoy them when they are. Next time they're gracing my garden, I'll ask them to visit your neck of the woods, too!

The cardinals seem to have stopped coming to the feeder, but have started to call. They must be open for business.

Howdy Neighbor!

I live in an apartment so I am not allowed to actually feed the birds but I do put out store bought suet every now and again.

Here's a Robin

Beautiful pics adel!

Hard to tell w/out the spread tail feathers but I would guess Rufous Hummingbird.

I think rufous, too.

Klamath River, CA

I agree on Rufous... I asked the Post Master and she thought it was an Anna's, but I don't see any white eyebrow and the coloring is wrong. Here' a Lesser Goldfinch that caught my eye.

GREAT pictures everyone ... I'm green with envy!

I'm not seeing much here except for my usual bunch of doves and house finches.

Today I went down along the river looking for birds. I spotted a big bird in the distance behind some trees; so I moved in slowly for a closer look. Here's a picture of the bird ... a weather vane on someone's gazebo. (Boy, did I feel dumb!)
