this is from a few days ago. This male Hairy woodpecker was checking for seeds in this feeder.

There was two male blackbirds seemingly in near battle on top of my roof, but I think they are last year's offspring in mock battle.

One ended up shooting over the top of the other, to land on the roof nearby!

here he's checking out the surrounding, before he sticks his head in, for some seeds.
