I forgot to mention when I talked about my aunt, that my cousin - her daughter - also has it! Mother and daughter battling breast cancer. Can you believe it?
My mother had it. My grandmother on my dad's side had it. sorry to hear about your aunt and cousin Victor.
Thanks. Yes it's very tough. She's my godmother and one of my closest aunts. She's had so many different medical problems over the years it would make your head spin. Yet, through all of it, she has always been the most cheerful person I have ever known. I always loved every minute I spent with them. Until they moved to Fl after my uncle retired, we went to their house on LI for every major holiday.

Thanks, Louise. For years they had a great home in Mt. Dora. Now they are in Coconut Creek to be closer to their daughter.

I have a tradition of making a wish for someone in need when I watch the sun slip out of view each night at sunset. Here's the sunset tonight......my wish was for all of those we have mentioned, and for my dear friend, Diane, who just had the double mastectomy. Can't hurt!

Yes! There are only 2 of us, I work in a mostly female profession. One woman already offered to shave her head when (if) the time comes. They are a great group. Then again, I hired them all. I don't have a service/program or staff person I didn't select. Very cool part of starting an agency!

Aww. Not a pink peony? I wore a pink turtleneck, sweat suit, fleece jacket and wool socks (and never left the house). I'm such a wimp.

The only pink I could find today to wear was two articles of clothing that no one would ever see. But I knew I was wearing pink in support of Dave's friend, and Victor's precious relatives, and Louise's friend, and every other person on this earth that faces this challenge.
I made the bed in pink (well, ok, salmon, because DH sleeps there too, ) sheets, pillowcases, comforter cover etc. today. Thought of our own NE forum DG wear pink DAY! Thanks, David, for bringing this to our attention. xx, Carrie
