You are doing a great job w/ it Mrs Ed!
Very nice pics everyone!!
Daily Pics vol. 83
Thats a nice one!
LOL, he does look bloated!
He is a "bloated chubber". He and a little downy woodpecker have been battling over ownership of the jar of crushed roasted unsalted peanuts I put out. He won yesterday, if you can call it that.
Nice pic Billy!
Oh he's gorgeous!!
Gorgeous Wallaby! I have a pheasant picture, but it's too dark. I'll enjoy your's!
I've had a male and female spatted on the road lately, she was stood on my road and I turned away, heard a fast car then saw feathers flying. They just walk out and are not used to fast cars, which should take more care on a country road!
A little later a female was sat in another bed, I walked up to within 8 feet of her and she took no notice! She moved into another bed with me following, just sat ther sunning herself, I even talked to her, not at all worried!
Cute picture Billy!
That pheasant is so beautiful.
Wallaby, that female pheasant has either accepted you, or has decided if she ignores you, you'll go away! LOL
Walaby, those are fantastic pictures!! I can't believe she ignored you!
Splatted is such a shame. There aren't enough of them around here at times. They can get flooded out of their nesting sites.
Did you ever think about, what if the tables were turned for a day and the birds had the cameras?!! Oh my!
I hope she nests for you. I think their eggs are a pale olive green, but I'm not sure. I came across an abandoned nest and assumed it was. Great photo opportunity.
Yes billy, I feel they get to be my friends. I had one with pink/purple feathers on it's rump but I couldn't tell which it was on the road, it was in two with barely a feather to be seen. ;~( . The female ended up cat food, so I guess it wan't wasted, they are bred for other purposes but I wish they could just be left to enjoy themselves! There hasn't been a shooting party around for a long time, good job!
Inquisitive Blue Tit
Wallaby those are priceless!!

Beautiful photo of the male pheasant, wallaby1. It is one of the joys of photography that the photog can then look at a photo, ask oneself "what's wrong with this picture" and then proceed to fix it as you did with the "dead stuff" that got cleared away.
Thanks bgrumbin, but it was out the kitchen window, you just have to get them as you can sometimes!
The dead stuff has been on the agenda for a while, but when you get winter temps and bad weather in March it has to be done when a good enough day arrives, can't do it all at once (wishing I could, lol). Sometimes I only get a decent enough day once in a week or two weeks, frustrating as it is. My zone looks warm, it's actually quite cold here, it just doesn't get THAT cold.
In case I get into trouble, we're on page 84 now, lol, the link will get buried.
