Poor lighting this AM but I was happy to see the Eastern Phoebe again!
Daily Pics vol. 83
Since we're into butt pics, I thought I might show this photo of one of the red tailed hawks seen at Turtle Bay Exploration Park in Redding CA showing off his tail feathers. It's a lot more fun seeing birds in the wild without cage wire in the way but for rare/difficult species a photog will settle for what he can get.
Wow that owl looks evil! lol Nice hawk too! I L-O-V-E raptors!!
It is much nicer to find the in their natural habitat, but we take what we can get for sure!
That is a handsome Cardinal! Nice pics guys!
Nice pic Mrs. Ed!! Is this with the new camera? Looks great!
I think that "yellow" finch must have flown in from the south...it's the only one like that.
I have 2 little Bluebird eggs!! I hope everything works out...I put up a Sparrow Spooker so we will see how it goes!
Here is a 'Butt" shot of Big Daddy taken yesterday!
Wowers Pelle...those are great pics! I think you and your camera & lense have become one!! Wonderful!! Love the water drops!!
Ooo, sooo nice everyone! GP, that one with the 2 woopeckers is keeper for sure!!
Love the butt shot, rose!
Yep Rose, this is the new camera and one of the older lenses (200mm). But STILL, these were JUST out my window. My coupler is screwy so I won't be able to get too many close ups! I'm also just shooting in manual mode, as I'm more comfortable with that right now. Then maybe I can start doing some shutter priority. The biggest problem now is just holding a heavier camera now, with my neck so screwy. I'm a big weakling!!! BUT. I can't wait until I can sit on the back porch with a tripod and get the hummingbirds!!!
Adel, your Steller and new feeder series cracked me up. His feathers on top of his head looked like an exclamation point!!
Cute spitting cardinal, Pell. Did you teach him that?
Wonderful shots! Mrs. Ed, that camera takes great pictures. I'm jealous! LOL
Pelle, how in the world did you manage that shot of the cardinal and the water drops? Fantastic!
I caught a couple of interesting shots today. Here is one of two mourning doves. He chased her around the area for quite a while, this is right before he caught up to her. Wanna know what happened next?? They flew off, what else!!
Very nice pics GG!
Wow thats an old but wonderful way to plow!
Thanks Pelle.
That sight is common where I live. We are surrounded by Amish farms and farmers.
Poor little house finch is in for a rough ride Nanny :))
beautiful hawk Bebop
LOL Cardinal Pelle,
Bgrumbin, The Owl ., has the look of....... " if look could kill" don't blame him one bit, being stuck behind bars.
GP, Not easy to get a shot like that, with the Woodpeckers, Great job.
Julie I can't wait to see that yellow in my yard, I find the black does bring out the yellow a lot too, very nice
That house sparrow with yellow, is a first and unusual , and very nice job on your Chickadee pic too Mrs_Ed
Adel, you always, put a smile on my face, with your captions.
Rose, You've worked hard to get the BB there, and they rewarded you. Congrat, will be interesting to see the follow up.
This is big bird, in the snow and rain (American Crow)
OH Rose, I forgot to congratulate you on your BB eggs!!
GG, nice shot of the cardinal and the plow!! I caught some doves in the act the other morning. Wish I would hvae had the camera! I have a whole series of pics with squirrels mating in January. I am a pervert I guess!!! LOL
The new camera looks good Mrs. Ed!
Adel, those jays are too funny!
My really, really, really bad pic of the Eastern Phoebe in full bright morning sun.
That sight is common where I live. We are surrounded by Amish farms and farmers
Lucky you! Means no GM crops, pesticides, herbicides, etc., etc., to wreck the bird life!
Resin
Congrats on the new birds adel!
Very nice pics everyone!
