Haven't had much time to post here in a while due to being busy with kids sports, work and gardening every chance I get. I will do my best to be there since I have heard that two of my favorite ladies Carrie and Michaela are coming. Does anyone plan to bring their kids? I would like bring my 9 yr old DD with me since she has been so into WS and now gardening with me this year.

Spring NE Roundup - Saturday June 28th
i wish my life were orderly enough (then again, not really) to make plans that far ahead... imean, it's still 2+ months away... 10 weeks?
Kassia has nephews (?) that age (?) around ... wait until she posts. So who wants my plants? Can I dig them up now? xx, Carrie
What's the rule for bringing plants? I don't have much extra to swap since I'm just starting out, but next year I might.
We don't need no stinkin' rules!
"You got that right", Cat!
Carrie, I would love some heuchera. Maybe monarda too if it is one I don't have. Thanks
OK, granny's varigated hosta for everyone!! Mwwaaaa haaa haaaa.....you'll wish you had rules by the time I unload this stuff. But, really....could anyone use varigated hosta?
Does it grow easy?
Then, yes..!
Is it smallish? I seem to have killed whatever hostas I had over the winter. Is it in PlantFiles? David, it's whichever one DH brought home from Home Depot without permission last summer, lol. Do you know which ones you have? xx, Carrie
I have Marshal's Delight and a NOID. Do you know what color it is?
Magenta? Raspberry? It might be raspberry wine.
Sounds good! Thanks!
Any body want a piece of Marshall's delight or a purple bee balm? I'll check what else could use some dividing.
To me, the hosta that I have look very much like Revolution, but there's no way for me to be sure since they came with the house. Unlike the negative comment associated with this plant in the Plant Files, the hosta that I have are absolutlely oblivious to cold. I have no idea how many year they've been popping back. They aren't all that huge, but they certainly aren't dwarf. SO, if anyone wants some, I'll be more than happy (oh so happy!) to bring some to the RU.
David, is any of it shorter? Like I dunno, less than 2 feet tall? Carrie
please take liriope from me - you can compost it - i don't even care!
Sure. I think I took some before, put it in a container, and it didn't make it through the winter. I'm happy to do it again. C
i don't think i brought any last year - that was before i knew its evil ways.
i am pretty sure it'd live through an atomic bomb. The landlords planted it - fortunately in mostly contained areas - but it is getting closer to my herb area...
So, if anyone wants something that will survive anything, looks like clumps of somewhat decorative grass, and makes little purple flower spikes in the summer - like muscari, do let me know. It sends out runners and makes lots of babies. i don't find them hard to pull out, there are just a LOT of them in a small place...
As we get closer to the RU, I'm betting we'll have something to bring. It's still almost two months away. That's plenty of time for us to see how healthy the plants are that we'd want to share.
Amethystsm,
I would love to have some. The ones that I had along the bottom of my rock wall didnt make it through the winter..
Mel
Nancy - I'd love one of your variegated hosta plants. Mine have no problem with the cold in NH. They come back every year. Like Candyce, when we get closer, I'll be able to say what I'll bring in addition to some Lily of the Valley.
i have tons of coleus if anyone wants any
Allison ~
I love coleus, so may I have some? I have one plant that I got at last October's RU, that I have just split into four plants today; not near enough coleus for me (LOL)
I will bring some up... you guys can fight it out
:)
Okie dokie!
I'll bring my boxing gloves.
i took more cuttings last week.... have to pinch anyway... might have quite a few
I don't want to fight with Candyce or Harper, but I would love some. I got three kinds of coleus from rosy dawn, they threw in a fourth, but only one looks really happy today. x, C
i'm looking for any dark coleus - black or magenta...
^_^
Amy, I would love some liriope if you have any to spare.
I think I might bring a bunch of baby oriental poppies . . . we will see how many survive.
amy the only dark one i have are the trailing plum
Oh, Allison, I would love to have some coleus too. I lam planning to plant them instead of impatiens this year so I can snip some cuttings to bring down here.
smart to save money... like i said i will bring what i have ... you guys can fight it out
:)
Thank you! I'll grow my fingernails really long for the battle! LOL
cat fight!!
haha
The Stew Leonards near me often has 5 gal buckets - free!
If there's an interest, I can get some & bring them up with me.
Nancy
Nancy, when we get through fighting over the coleus, we can start in on your buckets!! LOL
