Just thought I'd let you all know that I repotted the plant last week and when I returned this week there were no new yellow leaves, and the ones that were beginning to turn last week have stayed just the same with no progression of the yellowing. Sounds hopeful, doesn't it?
And here's a surprise. When I cut back the very tall stem a month ago, I cut it into three pieces and stuck them in a pot of miracle-gro potting soil. The stem was so pretty, I just couldn't throw it away and I figured, what have I got to lose by trying. I've just been watering it like a regular houseplant. Well, as of today the leaves on those three pieces still look strong and healthy. I don't know if that means they're making roots or it's just taking a long time for them to die, but I guess I'll find out eventually.
Thanks again for all the help.
