Sounds delicious Sharon! Everyone, make it simple and don't go to any trouble.
IRIS GARDEN TOUR/BBQ/POTLUCK-4-26-08
Yummy! Apple sauce was the first thing I made in Home Ec in Jr High School and I've loved it every since.
Oh, Weegy - DH is coming.
Thanks Kathleen, everyone is welcome.
Here's who I have coming so far:
Mike
Kathleen
Donna
Sherry
Karen
George and Sue
Chuck and Loida
Sharon and Carol
Hey Louise,
I finally found out last night that I won't be able to make your BBQ. :-(
I've been working on a small trip for my garden club, cause I'm the events chairman, and last night at our monthly meeting it was a unamous vote to go on April 26th. We only had 2 dates to work with and that was the best date for everyone. Now you can see why I said I wasn't sure if I could make it.
I hope you all have fun and I'm gonna miss you all. This will be the first DG gathering in So. Calif. that I have ever missed. lol
Hugs,
Donna
Darn it Donna. That's ok, you have a good time with your garden club and I'll miss you. I do hope to see you soon. Thank you for letting me know.
Oh Poo!
double poo!
That's 2 poo's, so does that make poo poo? lol
Sorrrrrry girls :-(((((
definitely . . poo poo! And I'll add another because I can't come so that makes it poo . . .poo . . poo.
Just got back from CA last night. Our blood is so thick from living in frigid Iowa we had a tough time adjusting to the heat. . . Could only stand to go out in the garden for 30 minutes at a time.
Okay, mine's going to be a Greek-style salad. Haven't zeroed in on a dessert yet. So many yummy things to choose from.....I'll bring my own chair.....
when this get's to "poo to the 4th power" we're in trouble !
That's okay, we'll just use all that poo for the garden......
JD.
Are you going to go by my house and dig the plants to take to Weegy? (or should I say trees? Let me know when so you don't scare one of my daughter's to death.
yes. That's the plan. I'll definitely notify you.
I'm having a new engine put in my truck at the moment, and am using my boss' truck in the interim and am stranded on weekends until I get mine back.
Mike, if you need me to help you, let me know.
He'll probably need moral support when he's out there in the hot sun digging those things!
Good grief, what are these things? Maybe some sun tea and cookies will be in order?
A banana tree and a Brugmansia. Maybe even First Aid or Mouth to Mouth R.
Whoa! Be ready to spike that tea when he's done!
Chuck just directed me here. I will check my( and everyone else's) schedule and let you know. I think Fiona has a Flute Guild competition that day but I will check for certain. Janice
Yea, I hope you can make it.
Blooms is rattling my chain to post and let Weegy know I won't be able to attend. DH and I will be in Ecuador! that week.
~'spin!~
Whoo-hoo! Have fun 'spin! We'll miss you.

Weegy, I saw some of your flowers in the thread you started and they are just beautiful. Looking forward to seeing them in person.
Oh me too Kathleen.
Sorry you can't make it spin...we'll see you at the RU though.
Well, it's almost 3 weeks til the bbq. Have I got everyone down that's coming?
Carol would like to bring a vegetable tray with dip. Is that okay or would you rather she bring a dessert?
Hi Sharon, a veggie tray is perfect. I can whip up a delicious lemon cake made from my mom's meyer lemons. All are welcome to take as many lemons that they want.
I was hoping more people could make it, the garden is absolutely gorgeous right now and I just love sharing it. I really wouldn't want anyone to miss it! (am I changing anybody's mind?!?!?!!??)
Looking so forward to this!
I wish you could change my mind. lol
I don't think my club would appreciate me leaving them in a lurch to go to a BBQ instead of a nursery tour. lol
BTW, one of my beautiful yellow iris's opened up yesterday and I almost missed it. I can't wait to see the pink one open too. :-)
Yea Donna, take pictures!
Yeah, you're right, best not upset the club. And I totally understand.
Yummy - and maybe Mom can give me some tips on getting my Meyer lemon to grow!
I want lemon cake and I want lemons. I loooove lemons. I'm still bringing some kind of desert too, just haven't had time yet to decide what. I just brought home an absolutely gorgeous book on Iris....that will be this evening's browsing. Weege, do you have a website?
Sherry
Sherry, it's www.hanksirisgarden.com

I can't resist good food and beautiful flowers and good people...Hi y'all....I'm LisaLu from Wildomar....I have a large fold out table, lots of dill pickles from my garden, and I'm really good at pulling weeds, can I come to the garden party?
I'm having a hard time keeping up with all the names...maybe I could bring name tags too...?
YES lisalu, you are more than welcome to join us. The table would be great and the pickles, even better! If you feel like bringing name tags, that's great too. I'm not that organized! I will be posting directions next week, it's easy to get to. I have my ds and his gf helping out that day and possibly a couple of my other kids will be there too.
Here's an updated list so far...(lisalu, what's your first name?)
Louise (weegy12)
Mike (jasperdale)
Kathleen (kaperc)
Sherry (wcgypsy)
Karen (amarantha00)
George and Sue (george)
Chuck and Loida (cbernard)
Sharon and Carol (sharonlovesiris)
Don and Pam (possibly) (drdon)
lisalu
Sounds like a party! If there are things from my RU trade list that anyone would like...speak up, I can bring to the BBQ and make less to carry to the RU.
Sherry
I'll look it over Sherry.
Dill pickles - yum - my dad called me pickle-puss when I was a kid!
