I sure hope so Dawn.

Dawn I have your cotton seeds and some glad bulbs for you. Does anyone know if I can pack these in my luggage?
Marie, you can ship them here if there's a problem.
marie,
I put EVERYTHING in my luggage and they never say a word.
Thanks I will just put them in my luggage then. (weegy I might need you tell help me ship some stuff back)
You got it my friend.
Hi everyone!
I don't have much, mostly seeds (sunflowers, marigolds, pumpkin). I do have alot of rasberries, they are popping up all over the garden! I could spare a few canary date palms I just started, they are about 6" tall, I don't care what I trade for, I just want something to remember my 1st RU!
I'm new at all this, and 2.5 acres of dirt is alot to fill! Next year I'll be much more organized. I can't wait to meet everyone, I have much to learn!
LisaLu
Lisa I'm feelin ya sister. I just have a 5/8 acre parcel of desert and it is just heck to grow and fill in so much and keep it all watered and weeded.
hiya guys!
Less than 40 days............wooohooo!!!
Here's my list,
Salvia madrensis.........Yellow Sage,
I have seven well-rooted cuttings and am saving two for wcgypsy/Sherry if she needs them.
Brugmansia sanguinea........Inca Princess
I have at least 3, and may have as many as six well-rooted cuttings of this very hardy Brug.
Fuchsia splendens......A fabulous species Fuchsia.
I have at least 3 and possibly seven of these that will be still newly rooted in 4in pots. This is an especially beautiful species for those of you in a Fuchsia friendly zone.
Impatiens balfourii........."Poor Man's Orchid"
One of the many plants called PMO.....But this one may remind many of you of your grandmother's garden. This Impatiens species reseeds readily in zones 8 and above, and really produces a bucket-load of marvelous flowers in the late spring through fall. I have 18 of them well established in 1gal pots.
Impatiens glandulosum...."Red Policeman's Helmet"
This species Impatiens gets to be a huge plant around 5ft! The flowers are borne in profusion and are truly the shape of an English policeman's helmet....lol. It's a re-seeeder......down to zone 8 and loves moist spots in the garden. I have 8 of them that are very well established in 1gal pots.
Impatiens rotundifolia........
This species eludes me and although it re-seeded and I have about a dozen of them in 1gal cans I have yet to see the flowers outside of photos. I can tell you that they are fast growers and that they re-seed down to zone 8. They love well composted earth, and will get at least up to 4ft in height.
Hedychium coronarium.....White ginger.
I have at least five rhizome cuttings available to a good home.
Euphorbia "Tasmanian Tiger"
I have one specimen plant saved for SoCal.
There are also several cactus and succulent cuttings available to those interested in Agaves, Stapeliads, Opuntias, and a couple of special cacti for that particularly interesting trade.
I may have a few more fun ones and I certainly have a few orchids saved for George and others that are interested.
I also have 2 flats of Pennyroyal mint saved for Weegy.
Pam and I are looking forward to a really fun time with new friends and old pals.
best to all,
don
Also......
Anyone wishing for some of our magic compost should bring a truck, trailer of a plastic trash bag for our guys to fill for you. This stuff is pretty doggone marvelous. A few of you already know. For the RU, all are welcome to a load, and a load of this compost also means a load of earthworms!
be well,
don
drdon, my madrensis is going strong from the original that I believe I got from you last year (or year before last?). I would, however, be very interested in an impatiens glandulosum...Thank You..

Not sure they will let me back on the plane with magic compost!!
Salvia madrensis...Yellow Sage,Euphorbia "Tasmanian Tiger Dr. Don if you don't mind. I am still waiting on my seedlings to see what I will have. Right now all I have rampant is 2million wild flower mixes. Most of you are not into that though.
I am so excited about the Magic Mix. Bringing the truck for sure.
Can't wait. My dd wants to come again and that surprized me since she just sat in a chair most of the time and knew nobody. She asked to come and said she loved Dr. Don and Pam's place so much she wanted to see it again.
Don, I would love a S. madrensis.
I have a few Mystic Merlin Malva that I could spare if someone likes them and they survive this heat wave in the styrophome cups.
okie dokie,
1 Impatiens glandulosum "Red Policeman's Helmet" for Sherry
1 Salvia madrensis for KaperC
1 Salvia madrensis for hellnzn11..........Sorry, Euphorbia "Tasmanian Tiger" is saved for Donna. I can give you a cutting of one of the established ones in the garden. But you can certainly take as much compost as your vehicle can carry.
Thanks weeg.....Pam and I had a fabulous time at your nursery last Saturday!! What a treat.
best to all,
don
I would like to trade a couple of Salvia clevelandii plants and a small Eriogonum umbellatum. I am open to suggestions as to what I can trade for... I also have 11 Scabiosa columbaria (sp?) 'Butterfly Blue' (Butterfly Blue Pincushion Flowers) divisions that were started a couple of weeks ago. All but one or two have new growth and they will mature more by the time the RU comes around.
Thanks,
Chuck
Don thanks. I am not good with cuttings though, I never get them to root. Someone needs to show me where to cut them so they will, but anyway that is good just the salvia.
Today I noticed that I also have three Hirpicium ameriodes v. armeriodes (Grassleaf Mat Daisy). Also, I have brought Echevarias to the last year's RU and to the Iris garden but I have left them in the car because I didn't think anyone would want them. I have three of them that are really big (one is twelve inches in diameter). I have lots more in my garden since they grow so easily in shady areas.
Thanks,
Chuck
Chuck I wouldn't mind one since I am starting to get some interest in areas for Succs and Cactus going and my friend Liz sent me some Echivarias from the bay area that are hanging in there despite too heavy of soil and too much water. I need to start a whole new bed after I get Dr. Don's magic soil. I have a good shady spot too.
I have been gardening for years, but am new to Dave's Garden; am in the midst of changing my backyard to mostly (I still will have a rose garden and fruit trees) water-thrifty plants...I have some daisies and irises that will need a new home ( I am from the east coast) but I don't know what their Latin Name...anyway, will be continuing to watch...what is the RU?
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/818602/ check this out momandmore. If it does not work then look on the California forums at the top of this page to the right, click it and you will see The Western Regional RU, go there and see.
This is my second one, I went last year for the first time, it means "round up" where we round up the members and meet, trade plants, bring food, see Dr. Don's fabulous home and gardens etc.
This year it is an Irish theme, we are bringing Irish dishes and drinking like fish. lol
Just kidding. He is going to have some nursury come and talk there too this year and may even get a wine tasting as it is in Temecula.
Is Lake Forest in The OC? Welcome to DG and you should go to the RU.
Also go check out the Xeriscaping forum for low water plants, it is cool.
Dawn
Lake Forest is where my dd's in laws live, she also got married there. Down around Laguna Niguel, definitely OC.
Yes momand more, please join us. You'll really enjoy it and meeting those you've only typed to.
OT if possible - Got nice starts of Blue Dawn at the RU last year - thanks Sherry! - They are doing great. Climbing a teepee tower and blooming like mad right now. Sending runners all over too. I've been tucking those runners in among the plant, but now need to know: Can I cut off those runners without hurting the plant? Thanks!
Yes, you can cut them off. You need to keep control of this one....remember, you were warned...lol....once it gets out of control, then you need some bunnies to keep it in check. I'll send some bunnies home with you this time. I got LOTS.
What is Blue Dawn? MG's?
Blue Dawn is the perennial MG. Can become invasive. Only for the brave or foolhardy.
Oh, yes! I had that perennial morning glory and loved it so much but finally had to tear it out. My neighbor had it and loved it but tore hers out because the Rats! loved it. I miss it but don't want to take a chance on harboring rats! My other neighbor cuts it almost to the ground once per year and it comes back so beautiful.
Where is drdons and when is the roundup? Thanks
Drdon' ranch is in Temecula and it's June 7th. The first post here will explain all the particulars. Don usually posts directions as the day gets closer. Hope you can make it!
Hi Don, I'm interested in the B. Sanguinea, I sent you a D-mail about it. I'm also interested in the 3 different types of Impatiens you listed. Do you by chance have the Impatiens Killimanjari? I have Passiflora's as you know. I have 1 Purple Tiger, 1 Gloria Moreno, and 1 Betty Myles Young. I also have a tuber of Amorphophallus Konjac that is at least a couple inches across.
Mark
Zpstropz, I'd be very interested in your passifloras! One of mine just bloomed and it was wonderful. Donna gave it to me one year.
Mark I d-mailed you a response to your d-mail to me. What are you looking for?
Marie, sorry about that. I was looking for a couple of passiflora that I think you were talking about that you got in Az. One may have been Mexiana and maybe Bryanoides (spelling)?
thanks,
Mark
hiya Mark,
I've got my greasy mits on only one I. kilimanjari and I do expect seed after bloom. So nothing to share yet. I expect to have a full selection of the 20+ species I've collected to share at next years RU.
You've got dmail amigo,
best,
don
Don,
Is there schedule of speakers, exhibits etc.? Will they be there in the morning or afternoon?
Thanks,
Arlene
I don't have much, I'm afraid, since I'm still experimenting with/learning about seed-starting.
So far, I'll be bringing:
About a half-dozen Hylocereus undatus/Dragon Fruit Red. They've been doing pretty well and are mostly around 2" tall.
About five Cereus repandus/Apple Cactus. These seem to be slow-growing and are very small, the tallest being maybe an inch, tops.
