Off and on rain here too, also a little fog. Calm wind and 38 degrees.
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 11
Temp 47.8, humidity 74% overcast, damp. ☺
About the same here. 50's tomorrow, but with rain. Then an arctic blast for Sun - Tue. Yuck!
I got some of Al's weather ---it froze here last night, and this morning I had to scrape the ice off my car windows.....
Thanks Al --- please send more snow!
When I was in Tucson, people would head up to the mountains in pickups to shovel snow and carry it back to their homes so the kids could make snowmen. One of the kids I worked with came back from a visit in Ohio and told me, "I like Ohio better than here cause of the snow." Hard for New Englanders to imagine.
Ok, it's been snowing, sleeting, raining, now freezing rain. The weatherman just announced this pattern will continue until Thursday morning around 11 to noonish.
Hopefully not Thursday morning, March 20th!
Good grief Victor, how much more depressing can you get??
I'm just hoping for you!! You've had at least two winter's worth so far this year.
Look up schadenfreude.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schadenfreude
Not applicable here!
I just like the word. :) So I like to use it when I can get away with it!
boojum, are you saying Victor is a schadenfreude??
Could have been a freudian slip.
slipenfreude?
Looselipenfreude.
Yes, I remember. The second half of last winter was awful and it really did not let up until the end of March.
A schadenfreudian slip?
BTW, it's used as a quality someone has, not something a person is. Someone saying that a Maniac's winter will end in July is demonstrating schadenfreude. Enough said! I hafta control these impulses to use unusual words.

Wow - great shot, WC! How long was the exposure? Any filters?
I put the camera on top of the garbage can next to the pier, then used my own judgement - or should I say guessment... ☺
- no filters just burn- in.
Even the stars look too good!
Looks great WC! Plenty of good night shots to be had out in this world.
Been thinking about re-activating my telescope - want to get a CCD camera first. ☺
Great shot, WC.
Thanks! - This was the only keeper out of about five of the same scene! ☺
Sounds about right.
My old Sony has a CCD sensor, but it's not going to zoom in on the moon that's for sure.
Beautiful WC!!
Thanks debilu,
This CCD is an accessory attachment to the 'scope, I have a clock drive mount already, the scope has a 6" diameter and is about 4' long and 100lbs, (its the smaller one of 2 that I have), it's just so big and heavy its inconvenient to take out and set up. But the views are incredible... I can't make out any constellations with it because it shows me so many stars! I get lost!
- (the pic above is with a Leica lens Al.) ☺
Interesting squares vs circles...
- (I sent you a D-mail on that Al.) ☺
SLR, WC? (More texting?!)
I have a funny SLR story, I was looking at a Canon Rebel at WalMart and wondered why it was only $200 - until I noticed it was for film.LOL
Ha ha - what's film?
I was at 'Best Buy' the other day and saw a Nikon with all the bells and whistles for a great price... 'till I found out it was film!! LOL! ☺
