Last one was approaching 300 so time for a new one. Rain expected here tomorrow but I can't complain since so many others are having wild weather.

Today's Weather in Your Garden - 11
it's cold. brrr.
(i felt bad everytime i say the "0 replies.")
45 here now but quite windy and big time wind alerts from 9 AM to 5 PM. I wonder how the wind knows that it's supposed to stop at 5 PM.
Not bad for this time of day at the end of Jan. Quite breezy and overcast with 34 degrees. Should get into the mid 40s with a sprinkle or two. As I recall last year at this time we were in the middle of weeks of 0 to single digit highs so this is really nice, particularly on the heat bills. Should last at least through the weekend.
39 and raining. Wind later.
Ouch.
Al I saw that on the news, you really have had some strange patterns going on! Stay safe & warm.
39° Rain/Cloudy
Feels Like: 36°
Barometer: 29.50 in and rising
Humidity: 100%
Visibility: 2.5 mi
Dewpoint: 39°
Wind: S 5 mph
Sunrise: 7:00 am
Sunset: 4:44 pm
High 42
Low 14
I'm in for the day.
Sunrise was nice today at about 6:30.
Cold and VERY windy. The window panes are rattling, gusting to 120 km, blowing snow. Can't decide if I'm going to work tonight, don't really want to leave the house alone in this stuff.
Al's minus 40 and threegardeners winds make me feel our 45 and very light rain is almost tropical.
Brrrr! I agree the rain looks really nice after reading Al and 3G's posts. Its grey windy dismal and wet, but at least its above freezing. Can't ask for more than that at the end of Jan. Stay in, build a fire and stay warm you guys.
Yeah my 40 and rain is a blessing!
Cleared up suddenly - sunny, windy and 40 now.
Worse here, snowing and blowing so hard I can barely see the house across the road. Still debating the work thing tonight. Waiting for the crash of the super tall Manitoba Maple directly across from me, the one I have been fighting with the Township over ever since it split up the middle last summer. The one whose side branches are long gone and is just a straight trunk shooting for the sky, poised to pounce on my poor unsuspecting home...
Good luck. That's an awful threat to have hanging over your head or your property.
It's 42 here, partly sunny, but the wind is gale force--cannot walk across the dam today, I'd be blown downriver, or someplace!
We also have 42 degrees but wind gusts to 38. Very bright sunshine but the winds will keep me indoors today.
Just came in. Temp dropped a bit to 38 and it's very windy!
Crazy day. Warm and rainy this AM. Gloomy with wind. Then snow showers. Now sunny and windy. Phew!
We had a flash freeze today after a ton of rain overnight!!!! The winds have been frightingly cold and the ground is so hard now that everything is frozen!!!
It's rather soggy here. The scarecrow's dress dried out in about 20 minutes with the winds we've been having.
Still snowing like crazy here, the wind hasn't let up. The cats are all grumpy. Must be the wind maybe? Mom is panicking cause of the wind and calling every half hour if she hears a thump.
21, with a wind chill of -5, and wind gusts of 47-52 mph. A restaurant near my office lost its roof.
Wow - that's scary. We're having gusts of about 45.
My co-worker asked me if I saw it, and I said no - and she's like - don't you see all the firetrucks? I was just happy to get to the office without something blowing on top of me - the traffic lights really get swinging and they are heavy!
You got the hanging light there? We always see those in MI. Ours are on poles.
Sucks on the wind and flash freeze.
Never made it above 0 today.
Nice 9:18 Al! Reflected light from underneath the tree. ☺
36° F
The wind finally has quieted down and we're at 37. Easier to sleep without the freight train winds.
Cool - looks like a sand storm.
Not yet, Al. Give me another year or three.
Neat photo. Reflections are interesting.
Very nice... you should exhibit in an art gallery! ☺
Blue Skies this morning. 20°.
Celeste - I didn't move out...they moved away! Actually, I moved out when I was ~20. They retired to NC around 15 years ago. Best thing they ever did. They would never be able to live the way they do up here in NY.
20 here as well. NC is very nice. What part of the state are they, Anita?
Gorgeous out today, it should be in the high 30's with the rest of the week warmer much warmer. Rain tomorrow, but no snow. But I have my first real batch of snow drops up. Patti
Wind from the NNW at 12 MPH
Visibility 10 miles
Sky conditions clear
Temperature 30.9 F (-0.6 C)
Relative Humidity 53%
Cold and clear, the wind has finally subsided. I see my computer is flashing winter storm warning advisories for late tonight, and all day Friday, up to 35cm of new snow predicted. Gonna hit you guys/gals first.
Do you subscribe to WeatherBug, too? They're predicting rain for tomorrow and into the night, for us, followed by warm winter weather (mid 40's) for quite a few days, as Patti said.
Never tried WeatherBug, just the Weather Channel. Maybe I'll go check them out, see if they have better news for me :)
Nope...heavy snow, blowing snow, cold.
