Stop and visit, talk all you want. Pt 13-kwanjin :)

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hi all, she is having puter trouble, so here ya go! :)

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

OK, I am here, where are you? :)

(Zone 7a)

THANK YOU!!!

Yes, food, I need food!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

YOU BETCHA! :) HMMMMMM what should I have?

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

I have just been roaming around behaving myself! LOL Gonna have to head to bed soon, so best leave the food alone tonight! :)

(Zone 7a)

I had a bowl of oatmeal. I was a good girl, I was!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

LOL I thought you had konked on the couch again! I am getting ready for bed, but I keep hearing weird noises, so kinda creeped out!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

I think you sent me your dinosaurs! HA HA HA
I also think this COMputer is about to crap out on me! The other disk is SUPPOSE to be in the mail, but heard that once already!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Ok, I gotta give it up! Sienna is ok to go to school tomorrow, so have to get her up and ready to do. She is so excited about going, it is comical! So, nighty night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite!

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning all! Hope you didn't have any trouble finding the new thread. I never did read the "rule" about making a new thread every 100 posts. I guess I need to go back and find that link because we go on a LOT longer than that over on the weather thread--it's more like 250--300 posts! LOL

Cold and colder here but the sun is shining and no snow, ice, rain, etc. That is supposed to change early in the morning. :o((

I simply must get my lazy self up today to do some housecleaning. I can write my name in the dust on our glass-topped coffee table. Oh, well, it will still be there when I get around to doing something about it! LOL I told you the older I get the lazier I get. Ha! Pau is good to help me around the house and sometimes he will even do the vacuuming. However, he just goes through the middle but when I vacuum, I get in the corners and under the beds and move furniture, etc., etc. No dust bunny is safe from me once I get myself in high gear! LOL

Time for my second (or is it third?) cup of coffee. BBL

Mau

Uh, Tammy, can computer-illiterate me ask a question? If your hard drive is about to quit on you, what good is another disk going to do? Don't you need to increase your memory or something (I'm referring to the computer's memory--not yours--LOL)? Just curious. and oh, dinosaurs would definitely make "wierd noises".
You know, as in "Things that go 'bump' in the night"? It sounds like Celia did send you her dinosaurs!! LOL

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Morning all.
Mau, you are too funny! Actually, it is the other computer we are waiting to fix with the disk. I think this one is hopeless! It's about 8 years old, but it has set for the last 5 doing nothing. I think if we had dial-up it would do better cause I think the high speed internet is just way too much for it. Oh well, will have a new one some day.
Those "bumps" went away, finally, or I just went to sleep and didn't hear them anymore! LOL Celia can take her dinosaurs back now! :)

(Zone 7a)

I sent them a text telling them to come home! LOL Theeeeey'rrrrrrrrrrrre baaaaaaaaack!!!!

Good morning, everyone! 11º this morning. Slightly watmer than the 9º yesterday. HA!!! Even snoopy Isis won't go near the door. She's usually the one who runs outside before checking the lay of the land.

I'm off work for the next 4 days. I feel more relaxed now that all the uproar from the last three weeks is over and I can sit down by myself for awhile.

Anybody still out there?

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

HA! Glad they are back at your house, Celia! I will be out today since it is my day to go clean for my friend. It is 7º out there and I do NOT wanna go out! LOL

(Zone 7a)

Now, young aldy, I thought I told you to SIT!!! Your back isn't going to heal itself! LOL

Okay, you can't really shirk your duty so I'll talk to you later.

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Good morning Celia...and everyone! Glad I don't have dinosaurs! I just have a cat , Mandy, that likes to wake you up at 6-6:30 am to go out! All this, when she has a pan to use in the house!! Brat cat...I call her! She is sooo spoiled, and knows just how to get her way too!
Well...I was lazy this morning, and went back to bed! So I haven't gotten my walk in yet. Maybe this afternoon, I will...yeah right! It seems, if I don't do it in the morning, I don't do it at all!
Terry, you are welcome anytime ...to come clean up my gardens...lol!! I take all the help I can get!! And I have lots of weeds! When you live next to farm fields, it's almost impossible to keep the weeds out. And then the farmers spray, and the spray drifts, cause the wind is blowing, and your plants die....but not the weeds!!!!!! LOL!!!
Well the steak WAS good..going down, but it didn't set very well last night! Guess my old stomach forgot how to handle it!!!
I have to do some cleaning today too, that I didn't get done yesterday. Those paybacks are terrible! I am no more ambitious today than I was yesterday!!! Must be the cold weather!

(Zone 7a)

I know how you feel, Marcy. I've been up for a couple of hours and I con't seem to haul myself away from the computer chair! LOL

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Hi all just checking in. I will have to wait until tomorrow evening to get caught up on all the posts. My fist day back to work this week is today.

(Zone 7a)

Welcome back, Marie.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

TAMMY, where are you

(Zone 7a)

I think she went to clean a friends home.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

HE HE HE I am here for a few. :)
Celia, I know it isn't gonna help my back at all, but I gotta do it.

(Zone 7a)

I know. I had to give you trouble.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

gotta go give the pups a bath, just wanted to say hi.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

You wouldn't be you if ya didn't! :) I might think you were sick or sumpin! HE HE HE

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

HI KATHY! :)

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

I see you all have been busy while I was away for a while. I wasn't cleaning my house, though--just scrubbing myself. I forgot I have to go to Conway to get my blood drawn today. It was much too thin last week so they adjusted my med. and told me to come back in a week. So o o o Pau and I are off to Conway (35 miles). At least the sun is shining--it should be a nice drive over there and back.

Talk to y'all later.

Mau

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Be careful Mau!

(Zone 7a)

And stay warm!

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

Afternoon everyone :)) Snowing and 19 degrees here right now, and it was snowing pretty good this AM so I didn't send the kiddo's to school. Now if I can get through the day without killing anyone we'll be in good shape! LOL

Been reading but it is so hard to keep up with everyone!!

We were talking about cars with high mileage, my van is either a 2000 or 2001 Ford Windstar, with 180,000+ miles on it, and the truck is either a 95 or 96 Dodge Ram with 150,000 + on it.

The good news is, I get my Trail Blazer back end of next week if all goes well in the body shop!!

Got my new cell phone, and its gonna take me forever to get used to it. The back button is in a totally different place on it and its driving me crazy!! I had to transfer all the phone numbers from one to the other last night, probably took me an hour! Too bad they can't be networked and transferred that way :)) My new one is an LG 225 camera phone. I loved my old phone, but it wasn't a camera phone and I wanted one.... I've got a friend that has one, and anytime she takes her kids out where there is a large crowd, and the (under 13) kids might get separated from her (or worse, taken) she snaps a picture of them with the camera phone, so if the unthinkable happens, she has a photo of them, that day in the clothes they went missing in. Scary to think about, but a good idea I believe. So, I bought the camera phone. I never remember to take my digital with me, but I am hardly ever without my phone, so hopefully I'll remember to take the silly picture LOL.

Made seafood Alfredo last night for dinner, geez did the kiddo's complain! LOL Jeff was the only one that ate it besides me, and he picked out the seafood and left the noodles. LOL The girls " don't like the white sauce" sigh.. I also threw a couple cut up round steaks and mushroom soup and spices and fresh whole mushrooms in the crock pot, so tonights dinner is done except for the veggie... probably corn on the cob Mike picked up at the grocery store last night.

Hope everyone is safe and healthy and staying warm!!

Hugs,
Janis

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Hi Janis,
I am so behind . How is the wrist? Sounds like your blazer was not totalled?
Mau you back yet?

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh, and I meant to say... I saw someplace (here on Daves but can't remember where for the life of me) people talking about the History Channel show that was on Monday and again last night called "Life After People" . Did anyone watch that? Thoughts on it? I personally loved it, thought it was really neat and something to think about, and it amazed me that in a mere 10,000 years, (which seems like eternity, but if you think about how old the Earth really is, it is only a brief period) there would be almost no trace of human civilization left!! Maybe I'm just weird, but I really liked it, and the kids and I are gonna watch it together later on :))

Hugs,
Janis

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

Hi Marie!

Wrist is OK, still hurts, but healing I think... I start physical therapy for it in a couple weeks.

The body shop says the frame isn't bent on the Trail Blazer, good news I guess, and the damage totals were bad, but could have been alot worse.

(Zone 7a)

I saw it. I liked it. It was very interesting except I think the plastics would still be recognizable.

And good luck with your wrist. Do what they say. I'm sorry. Medical background came a knockin'!

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

Hi all. Got home from the dentist and Krista and my teeth are all clean and shiny for the next 6 months. When I came from the back, the lady behind the desk told me my husband was outside, changing the tire. HUH?? I just bought those tires last April and low riders for a Mustang are not cheap. But there he was, the tire flatter than a pancake. He put the doughnut on and we could only drive 50 MPH. Get home and he's running around, he's only got about 15 minutes before he has to go to work. I'm upstairs doing something and I come downstairs to him, uh, not very happy. The line to the dishwasher is frozen again. He stood down there for as long as he possibly could before he had to go to work, but not enough. I stood down there, craning my neck trying to blow the dryer where it needed to go. I couldn't do it for very long, I have problems with my neck. So the darn thing is still frozen. I have no clue why they put the line up against the inside of the outside 2x6. What did they think would happen? This is the second time in about a week it's frozen. After last time, my husband stuffed insulation behind it and around it, but I guess it didn't work. I'll have to call the appliance store tomorrow. Hopefully they'll do something about it and not charge me. We'll see I guess. Otherwise, things are just dandy ☺

Oh, I looked at the thermometer before we left at 10:15AM and it was 0º outside. Windchill was -21º. Currently, it's 1º. No wonder my feet and hands are freezing!

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

I'm back. I guess we got home around 4 p.m. but I'm just now turning the computer on again. My blood is now too thick--last week it was too thin--what a roller coaster but that's the way it is when you have to take blood thinner. :o((

Pups? What kind of pups, Kathy? Tammy has puppies, too. ☺☺☺ Is your back okay after all the housecleaning, Tammy?

Glad your teeth and Krista's are nice and clean, Terry! :D Sorry about the d/w being frozen up again, though. What a bummer! Okay, I promise to stop complaining about our "cold" weather. Compared to what you are having, a low of 23º sounds warm!

Janis, are all the kids still alive and well? LOL It's good to see you posting again. tonight's supper sounds good! I was flipping through the channels and saw that program on the History Channel but I didn't watch it. It wasn't a scenario I wanted to contemplate. I would rather watch a re-run of Monk--Yep, give me an obsessive-compulsive detective any day! Ha, Ha, Ha!

Hi, Marie! Is everybody in your house well again?

Celia, that "thing" on your trailer hitch ought to keep people from following too close! LOL

Hi, Marcy. Hope you are over your upset tummy. Do you think it was something you ate at your birthday dinner?

I'll try to check in with you guys again before bed.
Later. . .
Mau

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Hey Marilyn! yeah....tummy is fine today! I'm sure it was the fact that I ate beef. It bothers me every time...even though I don't eat it often. Sometimes I just get a craving for it!
Well...tonight we had chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes. Cholesterol city!!! LOL! Oh....but it was good!
I had put a whole chicken in the crockpot on Monday. We had that Monday night, and then had that leftover chicken and also broth. We have also had chicken sandwiches from that....and one left for tomorrow for ME...lol! I love cold chicken sandwiches.
Anyway....I got a lot of mileage out of that chicken!!
Glad you made it home safe and sound!
Sounds like the cold weather is really settling in here until the first of the week. Then we are supposed to have a heat wave...in the 50's!!!
My daughter laughs when I tell her that!! She thinks that is COLD!!
I guess when you live in Florida, you would though.
I may have to go visit her this winter sometime!! I am thinking about going by myself, since Dave won't go.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hi all. Too much to catch up on now! Back is OK, but could be better. Thanks for asking! :) It is cold out there, the heater isn't working right in the truck, so bout froze going there, then to Lowe's, then to Wal-Mart! I did get me 3 plants, though! :)

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

What kind of plants, Tammy? House plants?

Glad your tummy is better, Marcy. My MIL is allergic to beef--she hasn't been able to eat it in years. It would probably make her throat close up and she wouldn't be able to breathe. :o(( She is allergic to several different foods, plus she has diverticulosis so she can't eat nuts or anything with seeds (strawberries, etc.).
It sounds like you did get a lot of "mileage" from that chicken you cooked on Monday! LOL Our temp is supposed to get up into the 60's on Monday and maybe close to 70º by Tuesday--then cold once again! sigh

Pau's back is bothering him again--he has already gone to bed. I sure do wish "they" could find out what is causing his chronic back pain. It certainly affects his quality of life (and mine). Pain is a terrible thing to have to live with on a daily basis but he never complains, bless his heart. I just know when he is hurting because he moans when he moves. He is not even aware he is doing it, though.

Well, I am going to go and read through some of the other threads I am watching. I'll talk to you guys tomorrow. Have a good evening all!
mau

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

I got 2 NOID broms for 4 bucks a piece. They were 8.99 already on clearance, but I asked since they looked so pitiful if she could do better! HA HA HA She knows we buy a lot there, so she is always good to us. Then I bought a purple hyacinth at wally world.

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

brom=bromeliad?
