Water Cooler - 5
Anyone going to the CT flower show??
Cat has a thread about that somewhere 'round here...
Thanks Amy. I found it.
Nice segue, Dave!
Smooth, ain't I, Sue?
Smooth, yes. Very smooth.
You guys crack me up, but very smoooooth indeed.
How about "nice SAVE, David...."
If there's a CT Flower Show, is it less packed and frantic and jammed and crazy than the one in Boston?
X, Carrie
I would think so, but I've never been to Boston"s
Mad crazy zoo, takes forever to park and it's always sold out and I can't see anything because there are always PEOPLE in the way! No fun in a wheelchair. Where is it, yours, DavID?
xx, Carrie
It's in Hartford. Used to be north edge of Hartford, now it's downtown in part of a larger revitalization project on the CT river in Hartford. It was a relatively small event. Supposed to be a bigger now. We will have to ask Cat because a little birdie informed me she was there yesterday.
Oh, too late now.
ooh, Carrie, sorry about your car!
Hopefully, no one was hurt?
Carrie - what happened to your car? You may have mentioned it earlier in the thread but I'm so far behind and get more behind every day. I hope no one was hurt!! Eleanor
Awe Carrie, so sorry! Hope everyone is safe!!!
I'm so sorry Carrie - those darned fire hydrants never stay where you put them!! Eleanor
No, you tell them and tell them and they just won't stay in one place!
Well, if dogs didn't pee on them so much, they might just stay put!
precisely!
Hi, Carrie, how ya doin'?
I'll have to make a trip up to your place come May so we can trade Lily of the Valley and Liriope!
Has anyone had success rooting stem cuttings in water? I was reading on the propagation forum and it said the roots that develop in water are not good roots. I have a few cuttings in water from Fall that I never got around to potting. Do you think they will grow?
It wasn't that I was drinking and driving it was that i was thinking (about the thing) and driving. Yes, Sue, shall I come to you, or the other way around?
x, Carrie
Or a driver lost in thought, and not thinking about driving. Fortunately, nobody was between me and the moving fire hydrant, everyone in the car is ok, I am well insured, just car-free for the time being.
x, Carrie
My DW picked me up 2 roses and a few daylilies. The roses are in soil in a plastic bag (the soil is in the bag)The daylilies are entirely in plastic bags. What do I do with them between now & april?
If they are dormant and you have some potting soil and pots handy pot them up, give them a drink and leave them in unheated garage until spring.
I just finished potting them. Thanks!
Yes - pot them up!
Thanks. I will pot them up
Funny, deja-vu all over again, not being able to tell if Debilu or David (or both) were potting up! I potted up freesia bulbs today. x, Carrie
At first, i thought Debilu was potting Dave's plants.
Hmm... sounds like a story there!
Just a friendly gesture!
All friendly gestures are welcome ....
Not to get off track, but this IS the 'anything (almost) goes' thread ...
My DD and her DH and children moved out to their apartment this past week end. Things are sure quiet around here. I spent yesterday enjoying the silence, and cleaning house. Well, as much quiet as there can be with the three resident kiddos out of school, and as much housecleaning as I could accomplish before I ran out of steam in a 17-room house.
I'm glad to read that Carrie's OK, even if her car isn't ... and that Dave47 is into 'pot'ting again.
Candyce, your in a 17 room house alone? GG woman...think you have enough rooms?????? LOL It must be almost erie after all the commotion those walls have seen recently.
