Buy any diamonds since 1996? If so, you may have a refund coming.

Just the one in my navel.
Wow! in 1999-2000: diamond eternity band, wedding band w/diamonds, earrings, necklace, man's diamond ring (which got worn 2x-what a waste of money -LOL) and a couple other rings......nothing for my navel though!
It may be worth filling out a form......
I never had a single diamond before 1999 either - but then I got engaged and married --- diamonds are nice......I prefer aquamarines though....
We've - or more accurately - DH has bought a few since then, not sure we have receits for all.
I think the story said that you may not need receipts for some purchases.
But you may have to produce them...
No diamonds here since the engagement.
Diamonds, DH gave me a little antique band that he bought 26 years ago and another little one 16 years ago that each have a few tiny chips. No value except sentimental and not bought recent enough to get a refund. Do you think I could get a bulb refund? I would gladly sport one as ring if the IRS sent me back some scratch this spring. Patti
Good news here but not about diamonds: while I still can't open a link I clicked right and can "Open in a new box". Hurray.
My rock is too old to qualify for a refund by 3 years and 2 months.
DH bought me a a half carat flanked by 1/4 carat on each side. I think it was maybe 5 yrs. ago when he bought. Maybe I should at least let him know in case he wants a refund. We have the receipts and certificates of authenticity as it's required by the insurance company.
That's what I'm going to do --- if my husband paid too much, then I think I should get some money back - LOL!!!
I'm not a sentimental person. My dh was going to (literally) throw out the diamond he had given to his previous girlfriend! I made him keep it and now I have it in my band, flanked by two Cerulean sapphires!
Does the refund extend to cubic zirconium? If not, keep the article away from my DW.
Or broadcast this info on QVC.
Dave, she may have gotten it checked...
Too funny Dave! My first diamond, the one I got when we were engaged I picked out. It was 1/4 carat, very simple and I loved it. DH said it was to small and people will think he's a cheapo. LOL
Anyways, I broke the crown/prongs 3 X. On the 3rd time DH said replace the crown with your hardest material so they did. When he went to pick it up the jeweler told him I shouldn't be able to harm this one. 6 Weeks later he was buying me the one I have now..it has no "crown" no prongs sticking up and he got his wish for bigger.
I have had no problems at all for over 5 years!
So Pixie62560, Is bigger better?
Hey hey, Patti! I got my wife a 3/4 carat engagement ring. Then came the gold wedding ring. Since then, just the suffer-ring.
Victor, that's priceless! Now, does she read your posts?
Of course not, but I've used that line many times. She ignores most of what I say.
☺ funny Victor!
I like small plain rings, kinda like me! LOL He did a good job as it's been matinence free, but I would not go any bigger! It looks like a "Trinity" ring but the stones are almost flat with the setting.
I am not into jewelry at all. Never even liked wearing a watch. I only wear the wedding ring since it's a ruling from on high. When I do take it off, a voodoo thing kicks in.
DH takes his off every night and on every day - how many guys do that? He also doesn't like playing handball or golf with it on. It's just a plain gold band.
I leave mine all the time. Too much trouble on and off. I do everything with it on - swim, work out, garden, play sports, etc. It's gotten a little oval shaped over the years. Ours is a simple design too.
Maybe a new thread idea - how did your proposal take place?! (No shotgun jokes.)
Good idea.
My wife handed me her wedding band prior to surgery. I lost it. Not one of my better moments.
Debi, when he takes it off at night, he is with you, right?
So far!
Dave!
Dave, you were not in the OR, were you? Lots of things get 'left' behind in there.
I'm sitting here kind of zoning out listening to the golf on TV of the seniors in Hawaii and I had to look at the TV when the announcer said 'stay tuned to find out who will walk home with the trophy' Now that's reality TV!
They don't get a lift?
I can only assume the losers will fly home and the winner will have to walk.
Maybe the the winners lose their driving license.
Is this the wrong moment to say I've been boycotting diamonds for years - at least 10 or 15 - but I don't think DeBeers has noticed yet? I have sapphires in my small flat engagement ring that I wear 24/7. DH proposed by having DD#2 give me a conversation heart that said "marry me". Never seen one like it before or since!
x, C
Just found out Heath Ledger died today. I loved him in Brokeback Mountain and The Patriot. Bummer.
