Stop and visit, talk all you want. Pt 12

(Zone 7a)

Anyway, kiddo. After my near-fatal encounter with "The Monty", I have to curl up to that book.

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

Celia, you're too funny! And no Tammy, he doesn't make a weird face LOL more like Celia said, it's one of yum yum!!

I forgot to tell you all. Our former neighbor (the one that used to be a home-ec teacher) was given some of that "Friendship Bread". She says I hate to bake, which I don't, I hate having to eat it, so she made it and had it delivered to me. It is sooo yummy! She put cinnamon in it and then melted cinnamon sugar and who knows what and drizzled it over the top. It is absolutely to DIE for!! We've been very good. Even though that bread calls me every second of every minute, we've each only had 1 slice in 2 days. I think I could sit and eat the whole loaf in one sitting easy. Melt in your mouth...yummmm....

I'm off to bed!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Terry, now who should be ashamed for going on about their bread! HA HA HA That sounds SO delicious!!!
Night Celia and Terry!
And whoever else might be out there lurking! :)

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning all!
Happy Birthday Miss Marcy! :)

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

You beat me to it, Tammy! Happy Birthday Marcy! and Happy Birthday to Pau, too! We can celebrate both their birthdays today!!
Good morning, everybody!
You guys make it hard to keep up. Tammy and Celia are out playing with the dinosaurs while the rest of us are sleeping! LOL Celia, your neighborhood has gone to the dinos--I would sure be moving out of there!
Since we all have such old cars I think we need to start our own Classic Car Club right here on this thread! LOL
That friendship bread certainly does sound good, Terry. You need to send a loaf down here to Pau for his birthday and one to Marcy, too!
Terry, our TV is analog, too--it is 4 years old but we do have cable so it should continue to work after 2009--if we are still living here at that point in time. Who knows what a year will bring--I might win the HGTV Dream Home and move off to the Florida Keys! Then you could all come visit for one or two weeks a year! We could have a Chat Thread Round-Up! LOL The Florida Keys sound a lot warmer than where I am right now! BRRRR and supposed to get colder tomorrow and Friday! :o((

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Mornin Mau, and happy birthday to Pau!
I can mispell iny werd I wanna now, so ya all best be a watchin out fer me! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Ok I am checking and saying good morning. I will try and catch up on this thread lter today. I lost you all again. Hmm maybe ya'll are trying to ditch me....
Hugs all!!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Now Marie, we'd never do that! :)

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Although everyone seemed to disappear with my bad spelling! HE HE HE

Glenview, IL

well...good day to all!

Happy Birthday to you Marcy...and to Pau!

Hope the day is full good and happy things.

Been reading while I work. Whew so glad you Dino's did get you...Ha!
Had to take a break ang get something to eat after hearing about Terry's bread..Yummy!

Well back at it...

(Zone 7a)

Good morning, everyone! It's a brisk 9º and I have to make my way to the Dr. this morning.

Glad you found us, Marie!

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Good morning everyone!!! Thank you ALL so much for the birthday wishes!!! And a BIG happy birthday to Pau!!!! It's not fair though, that you get to be younger than me!!!! LOL!!!
I laughed and laughed over those dinosaurs!!!!
Hey..yeah...I'm for starting a classic car club!!! My hubby has '52 chevy in all original condition...good condition at that! But he never drives it!!!! It sits in the barn!!! Oh ..he goes and starts it up....but that's all. I don't know about him sometimes!!
Ohhhhhh ..that friendship bread is wonderful!!!! Yeah...what Marilyn said, Terry!!! Send us some!!!!! We ARE your friends!!! LOL!! And it would stay fresh this time of year too! Or frozen!!
Not sure what is going on here today, but I'm sure it will be something!!
Have a great day all!

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

I will tell Pau that you all are sending him birthday wishes.

Marcy, that's funny about Dave's '52 Chevy--keeping it in the barn, etc. Pau loves classic cars--he used to have a '55 Chevy but he sold it--been kicking himself ever since! LOL

You no longer have to watch your spelling? Does that mean you are no longer vying for the title of "princess", Tammy?

Hi, "Seed"! Hope you found something good to eat!

Marie, we would never try to hide from you--this group just talks so much that it is hard to keep up with us and before you know it we have to start another thread! It keeps us on our toes!! LOL

Brrr, Celia--9º! and here I am complaining about our temps!

I'm off--Pau and I have some business to tend to this morning. BBL
Mau

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hey Mau,
The game ended this morning because Robbi said I have over 70 points and that no one would be able to catch me. So I am the official "Princess" for February. :)

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARCY AND PAU!!!!

You want me to share this fabulous bread? My turn to go nanner nanner!! Usually, you're given the raw stuff, and you make more to give out, and you bake yourself a loaf. But dear sweet Phyllis, did the cooking for me! Unfortunately, she didn't give me any of the raw stuff. I could inquire about it though...

TAMMY!!! If you are Princess for February and if it's all set, you have to keep spelling correctly thru your reign! What kind of example are you setting for a future Princess'? Hmmm???

My husband had a '72 Mustang Mach 1 when we got together. When I became pregnant though (after we were married!), he decided to sell it. We also had a Toyota Celica, but it was a 5 speed. Not really a problem as I learned to drive on a stick, but my belly was in the way. Short legs and I couldn't get up close enough to the clutch. So we sold the Mustang. My husband really never got over that car. My Mustang is pretty close in color to what his was. That car was fun to drive...hehehehe......

Hey seed, where's Glenview?

We have snow forecast for today. Temps will drop down to below zero again tonight and tomorrow night.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

LOL Terry! Can the Princess have some of your bread? HMMMMMMM LOL

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

Sure!! Come on over! You like coffee too? We don't drink coffee here, but I do have a coffee pot. I'll put a pot on!

(Zone 7a)

Yes, Happy Birthday, Marcy and Pau!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back from the Dr. BP checks out A-Okay!

It's snowing very lightly out now. Kind of pretty and not doing more damage than is already there. I keep getting the plant and seed catalogues in the mailbox and it's making me crazy. All those plants!

We have royalty among us! Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Coffee and friendship bread--now that sounds yummy!! I used to make some of that bread but got tired of having to keep the starter going all the time. I would much rather somebody send me a loaf!!! LOL

Okay, now this time I am really going to have to go--this time I mean it--BBL!

Mau

PS: Tammy, congratulations on being Princess--but Terry is right! You have to set the example so we are not going to let you off the hook so soon! LOL

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

We cross-posted, Celia. Glad the BP is okay.

(Zone 7a)

Me, too. I hate having to get it checked all the time. I have one of the home monitors so it helps.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

OK, I will TRY to be a good girl, in this thread anyway! HE HE HE
Celia, glad to hear you "checked out" OK! :)

(Zone 7a)

I found this and had to share...

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2105591220522708132&q

Glenview, IL

HAHAH, THAT WAS EXHAUSTING! oops sorry 'bout the caps.
now I need a cup of coffee.

Glad the BP checked out good.

Terry, Glenview is 15minute north of Chicago. We are about 1/2 hour from O'Hare airport. LOL it's as close to living in the woods as I can with being in boondocks.
...where are you around?

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

This puter won't let me do anything like that, so I will just have to imagine something coming from you! HE HE HE

(Zone 7a)

I sent it the your e-mail. See if that works.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Thanks, but it is this stupid puter, it freezes if something is "too busy"!

(Zone 7a)

Too bad. It's two cats and a little dog on a trampoline. One cat and the doggie are chasing weach other round and round to a very catchy tune! Soon another cat joins them. It's very cute. Perhaps when you get your other fixed you can just go there and check it out.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Well I hope we can one of these days! I will be sure to keep it in my email so I can watch it! :) I wish I could put a video of Teensy on here, she is SUCH a MEAN puppy! HA HA HA

(Zone 7a)

I need to get me some lunch so I'll say goodbye for now.

All hail the princess! LOL

Thumbnail by kwanjin
Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

LOL Thanks, Celia!
You would think Teensy was some mean Rot or Pit! She can be vicious! LOL

(Zone 7a)

Looking forward to pics of that!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

One of these days, I HOPE!

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Bowing to the princess...scrape..scrape!! I agree...you HAVE to set a good example!! So keep up the good work!
Thanks for the 'happy' Celia! Glad your bp is good. I need to check mine. I take two pills every day for mine....but seem to forget about checking it a lot. I know I should.
Marie...so glad u found us! I have a hard time keeping up with these gals too!
Well...I am sitting here at the puter, while hubby does the work!! Sound good????? LOL!! Does to me!!!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Marcy, I will do my best to set a good example, for now! HA HA HA
Yep, let hubby have all the fun! :)

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

Then quit saying "puter"!! It's a computer, not a puter. See? Even firefox has it underlined! I was instant messaging with my brothers wife. She kept DK, BRB, u is you, r is are, it was driving me nuts. On the DK and BRB, I had to ask her what the heck that meant. I was totally clueless. I prefer English so I can understand it. A little secret, I had to ask Mau what BFF meant. I couldn't figure it out.

I'll see what I can do about getting some of the starter. I can't promise anything, but I will try.

Darn Tammy! What am I to do with that pot of coffee now?

seed, you ever listen to WGN? They always do a commercial about hopping on 80 and going to Kewanee and Good's Furniture? I'm right off I-80 too, but I'm about a half hour east from Kewanee. I think it's about a 2 to 2 1/2 hr drive to O'Hare. Also on WGN, Kathy O'Malley, does the Kathy and Judy show in the morning, has a house down here. It's right in front of my parents place out in the country.

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Now, now, Terry, calm down! Just be glad you don'thave a teen-ager who does instant messaging with all her/his friends! Now those kids really know how to abbreviate! My Dear Granddaughter (DGD), Samantha, is the queen of instant messaging and abbreviations. I have had to ask her what a lot of those abbreviations mean. They don't capitalize anything, either. She is a really good student in school so it is not like she doesn't know better. That is just the way they "talk" on the computer. Using initials and not having any punctuation, etc., makes it easier for them to type their message faster. But then, you probably know all this already. Lecture over. LOL

Glenview, IL

hahaha, giggling OL (outloud) again.
I hear you though Terry..took me forever to get some of these abbreviations.
Can't bring myself to use many of them myself...well, I am a product of having to write something a 100 times because I didn't say it right! So just can't go back and undo all that writing now...LOL even if I am typing.

You gals are a riot to spend the day with.

Terry, yes I have listened to WGN on occasion. I know where I -80 is.
It's pretty neat to have a Celebrity right there. Do you know her?

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

Mau, these are the same kids that if the cash register breaks, they can't figure out how to give me change? Or, if the register does work, but my change is 30¢, they give me 3 dimes? That is 30¢ after all, correct? Just annoys me.

My husband is a dear, but I just cannot bring myself to type DH. That just seems so weird. He's my husband. Typed out. People type SIIL and I think sister in law. They don't mean sister in law. They mean son in law. It just gets way too confusing. Next time I see Mrs. Bickerman, I have to ask her what she thinks of this "new" language. She was my typing teacher. I even learned on a manual typewriter. They (the school) didn't have the money to buy all electric typewriters, but there were a few in the back of the room. We didn't learn on them though. I cringe when i see people write like this. it just drives me insane. i don't understand. how hard is it to reach that pinky down there and hit the shift key. see, no question mark either. that would require me to move my fingers where i guess they aren't supposed to go. i have one friend who writes me and doesnt use punctuation at all so imagine how hard it is to read when it looks like one big run on sentence see what i mean

So SUE me!!! I'm old and I'm cranky. You know what Kathy O'Malley would have me say?? GET OFF MY LAWN!!! There, I feel better now.☺

Well seed (do you have a name to share? Or one that others know, but I don't?), I guess I know Ms. O'Malley. My parents phone went out along with their electricity. She was the only one at home (within the couple mile) and she let me use her phone. We stood and talked for quite awhile. I see her around town, she's here just about every week-end. She gave a talk of some sort, out at Hornbaker Gardens earlier in the year last year. You know what was weird? I've listened to her for a long time. Then I speak to her in person, and her voice doesn't sound like the voice on the radio. I'm still trying to figure that one out.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

MAN, I feel like I have been scolded! HA HA HA Terry, what did you do with the coffee? :)
