Well, sure we want it! (I want it) When you get a true leaf on your seedlings, take a pic and send it to the Plant ID forum -- it's like "stump the experts" over there -- they know EVERYTHING!

CLOSED: Second Chance Wishlist Swap #5
WZ SEEDS Additional Wish List Requests - Please Dmail KD2000
Hi all, Suzy asked me to post a request for additional wishes you may have from the WZ wine box. Please send me a list of an additional 10 things (general or specific) you would like from the box and when I get them in I will compile and send a summary to Suzy. Suzy has mentioned there are dianthus, petunias, poppies, columbine, here is the information provided in an earlier post:
"From Wz seed, I have a lot of Violas and a lot of Petunias left. I also have Aquilegia (not the green one) and Sweet William (not the black one). I have some Ice plant; some Dianthus/PInks (not the white one); LOTS of poppies, every shape & color. I also have some Jacob's Ladder (the beautiful the few-flowered and the tall); and a lot of marigolds which might not be on her trade list, including some from Japan that say "American Marigold" which I thought was cute. The marigolds are seed from named varieties with pictures, but I am having a hard time finding the time to type everything I need to type. They are mostly the big African and the little french with just a few of the scotch ones left, but I know some of you are looking for more marigolds."
Please Dmail your lists with "WZ Seeds Wishes" in the subject line, thanks so much. KD
Hi Blueglancer, Thanks for the amaranth!
KD/Suzy, If we responded to the posting about the petunias, etc, in the thread should we still send you a dmail so it's all in one nice neat list?
Yes please everyone dmail me their additional WZ seed wishes. Thank so much. KD

Gee . . . did I remember to ask anyone for this
Abutilon - any colour will do!
Can't remember . . . well, if anyone has extra, you can think of me (oink)
So, can we think of a really great saying for OINK
like Only Interesting Newbies Know (well, that's pretty lame . . . maybe we can make this a contest!)
Hi Suzy,
I've talked with colchie on dmail and I've got a few agapanthus OP storm cloud seeds already put aside for her, and am also drying abutilon seeds. I only found a very, very, few of them still on the plant, (I've brought it in for the winter) so I'm not sure if they really "count", and I definitely don't have enough to put on a list. I've got the one with the coral/peachy flowers and the variegated splotchy yellow and green leaves.
Yup! That's a wishlist swap for ya! People dig a little deeper if it's for a person and not a list.
Wouldn't hurt for other people to list their wishlists, either.
Here's one from Wind (just because it was easy to pick out on my handy-dandy list that KD made for me!!! You all need to thank KD because I was seriously getting lost! )
Everyone is more than welcome to post theirs.
WIND'S WISH LIST

Suzy
I would like to try the African seeds. Thanks for offering.
I have a yellow primrose I've included in the packs, I also have some Toad lily I could pull out of my stash, too.
Actually that is a good point Suzy, the general wish list summary I did for Suzy is incomplete as I had a hard time finding some peoples wish lists, but feel free to include that in your WZ seed wish dmail to me, it will all make the sorting and choosing easier for Suzy. Thanks again. KD
well thank you Suzy for advertising my wishes but I must say I've gotten wishes galore filled from this wonderful swap already :) Thank you everybody!!
This has truely been great. I've been updating my garden journal and getting a chance to post on plantfiles too.
I'm learning alot from everyone and from looking up info etc as we plug along.
I have some hyasinth bean annual vine (a little goes a long way with this one, it is really pretty and hummers love it) http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/890/
also have a few more pks of garden chives in addition what is on my list http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/277/
Great to know how adventurous you all are! I have some other seed that I put in to sprout last weekend, and even though it's old - if it takes off, I'll be happy to share
Among those are geranium praetense Mrs. Kendall Clark(e) . It's a lovely blue-violet perennial, quite tall for a hardy geranium. I'll send some of those for weezingreens anyway, can't hurt to try. I've sprouted it as late as last fall and it went right away.
Suzy I forgot to say... I think we want to see YOUR updated wishlist and WEEZ'S wishlist ;)))
and one more thing......ahem....ah....excuse me....pardon me....but if anyone noticed on my wish list is paulownia tomentosa...well I saw it in Thomson and Morgan's catalog and the last sentence says: "...will often reach up to 8ft..." well I didn't read the part where it says it will reach up to 8ft in ONE SEASON and that is is a THIRTY FOOT TALL TREE!!
http://www.tmseeds.com/product/9415.html
Why in the world would they put a beautiful close up photo of the blooms and offer a packet of 100 seeds for a THIRTY FOOT TALL TREE??? Who would want one hundred seeds of this?
They must have made a typo or something ROTFL
so please delete this from my wish list good grief...................
hahahhah why, you could have a forest!
ooo, wind, if I'd been paying closer attention I would have recommended you take that off. It's on the Invasives list for at least one state...VERY hard to control once it starts ripping...an import from Asia, I believe.
Pam,
Thanks!
Sounds like the botanical name for that Paulownia is missing an "r"- toRmentosa
The Torment -- well, the good news is I canknock one more off WIND's wishlist. LOL!
Suzy
thanks Pam - I've worked hard to keep tabs on what I have promised everyone else, but I have sort of lost track of what I have asked from others (probably just too embarrassed to admit what an oinker I am!)
So gentle gardeners - I only need one of what ever I ask for, and if I repeated myself, I still only need one lol.
Wind, Well shoot, and here I only have several hundred of those seeds and was gopnan send them all for you to grow. I have nevr seen one that tall before. The three trees I know of are about 20 feet tall and they been growing there forever it seems.
Dryad - Is that not the empress or foxglove tree that wind is speaking of, I didn't think it would be invasive in zone 5/6?
I was chuckling because I did the same thing when I looked at the Thompsan Morgan catalogue. Kinda like - oooh look at that and then an arghhh too good to be true. I checked and Paulownia tomentosa is listed as invasive for tennessee and Conn. http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=PATO2 and it's too bad because it has such pretty flowers! That's probably why they're selling those seeds in packs of 100's! They're trying to get rid of them before everyone bans them!
colchie
Toad lily (Tricyrtis)
I have these toad lilies:
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/70948/
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/77606/
They are mixed together, I'll dmail you
Toad lilies, Actually, don't know how they got on the list, but they're NOT something I need, but thanks anyway
Yep, Paulownia is the Empress tree. This is one of those invasives that hasn't hit everywhere yet - it scares the willies out of me. Imagine the potential for Kudzu that grows to 60' with a trunk...

Hi Lebug,
I was kind of looking for Toad lilies. I think Fairy1004 is already sending me some, but hers were a different color. If they happened to turn up in my box, I would not be at all unhappy about that.... ;) Or, to be oinky, I'll take 'em if she won't! :)
Ut-oh, That was my fault,,,I must have put somebody else's wishes under your name by mistake, Colchie. Maybe it was Susybell. Yes, I believe Terese has it down as Susybell.
Ah, good, that's cleared up LOL!
Suzy
Hi Starlight,
Did I understand well you have lots of Paulownia tomatosa seeds that you want to get rid off? I'm more than willing to help you! It's not invasive here and much in demand, it being named after one of our former queens.....
So if you have them, tag as many as you want to get rid of for me!
