CLOSED: Second Chance Wishlist Swap #5

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Hi,
I think I'm actually running out of seeds! I'm blown away-this is amazing. I'm so happy that I've had a few things that people would like to have-and beyond impressed with people who can keep track of the huge lists.

(lol, flowerhead, yeah, me too!)

Here's my updated list: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=4406458

Seandor, I've got you down for the V. hexandra and the last of the Imperial Pink Poppy

Blueglancer, Could I give a few seeds of your Globe Amaranth 'Strawberry fields' a try? I don't know how they'll like my summer, but I'm curious.

Please let me know if I haven't followed up with any of you on your requests?
(Edit for spelling-d'ohh!)

Hi Suzy,

Thanks to the time difference, I'm always somewhat trailing behind! You still cope?

As I'm going to be a greedy piggy anyway, I could as well do it good: I would be interested in every petunia, marigold and viola from Wheez's list that hasn't yet been tagged for someone else.....

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Hi Tuink, How are you today? Nosebleeds are not fun-Are you recovering from the hospital visit and the cauterization?

UPDATED LIST OF WHAT'S AVAILABLE & TAGGED SEEDS -

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=4385245

Fairy, I thought a closed swap just meant that no one new could join the swap; but that folks were still welcome to post on it. If I'm wrong, y'all let me know.

Edited to add that in the updated list above, I edited the note to Suzy and added seeds tagged for me.

Hi all- I onlyhave time to scan the posts right now, but the swap is never closed to requests until I mail the envelopes out, or until I have pulled out all my hair, whichever comes first.

The swap is closed to new peope, except if I decide we can addd just one more person, because I am looking at a mountain of WZ seeds still, and a couple of new people would actually be welcome at tthis point LOL!

The orignial end date for signups was Jan 18.

I'l be back later this afternoon.

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Hi all, I am wondering if there is any Lavatera left out there?

South/Central, FL(Zone 9a)

susybell....I have you tagged for Globe Amaranth 'Strawberry Fields' . : )

Vashon, WA(Zone 8a)

Meredith, I will be sending in some Lavatera Ruby Regis. I'll tag some for you

Vashon, WA(Zone 8a)

Suzy, or anyone, I need the mailing address to get my seeds into you. Could you d-mail me? Thanks

(Zone 7a)

Weez, I too, would like to know what your wish list is. You sure did frost our cake on this one - lol!

Karen

ps - Since we can request seeds from each other only up until each others' boxes wing their ways from their home nests to Suzy's, then that would be one limitation on how long we can request seed from each other. Looks like I'm going to be sending a lot of untagged seed to Suzy...

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Karen... that would be true...

so i guess do a Last Call like Tuink did.

Plus if you have "popular" seeds... you can always send them to Suzy -- I think she put a limit on extra seeds to 5 or something like that... but its in the first thread....
and make a list of your extras that were sent ...

Greenville, IN(Zone 6a)

Ok you've tempted me again bluesprial! lol

Can I have please if you have them still:
Lupinus - red T
Pennisetum macrourum T

Thanks!

And I see this:
LeBug
Pennisetum 'Purple Majesty'

There must have been a misunderstanding I have 'Purple Mahesty' but thank you anyway!

Lea

Got to go to town, I'll confirm in dmail when I get back :)

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

LOL Lea.... where are you putting all these plants!!??

Greenville, IN(Zone 6a)

lol I'm going for the no grass thing and have almost two acres lol oink oink! I have one side of the yard in front almost full still have the other side yard to do when I get this darn tree cut down there and almost an acre of back yard started on but a long ways to go with a 75' long shade garden and sun garden of about four large beds almost done so far and in the field two wild bird gardens, trees and shrubs that I have planted already and a rather large nectar garden for the butterflies, a rather large garden of a herb garden and still plenty of space! lol I bet I planted at least 300 plants from last years swaps or more last year :) Every year I do about 200 jugs WS but was really wanting to cut down on that this year but don't think that is going to happen lol

Greenville, IN(Zone 6a)

bluesprial, lol I changed my mind about the Pennisetum macrourum T, I looked it up and it's an annual for me but thanks!

(jax) Dundalk, MD(Zone 7a)

Uh, Uh...my good seed sharing buddies.............I know I said I was done. But, somebody is trying to temp me. And I am so weak! Does anyone have any of the ice plant, left??? Please! Please! Yes, I will join the other little oinks at the trough, with tail betwen the legs..properly yelled at!

Winterville, GA(Zone 8a)

Suzy,
I'm off to the P.O. and the confirmation # is 2503 8555 7491 4123 2671. You will have to sign for the delivery when it arrives.

Joann

Scottsburg, IN(Zone 6a)

I am DONE - too many seeds to see straight - LOL! On a separate note, I was over at Lowe's (looking for some plumbing thingy for our sink) and saw their seeds. Wave petunias are now available as coated seeds - sit down for this - at $2.97 for 15 seeds. I nearly choked.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

At those prices, you can send me as many petunia seeds as you like, Illoquin :-)

dryad..which wave petunia do you know?

i have some tidal wave hot pink that i collected from my garden which are OP...a few trades of that if anyone is interested..dmail me

pamsue

Scottsburg, IN(Zone 6a)

They had the Pink, and the Silver - LOTS of the Pink. They also had a little sign up indicating it was the first year, yada, yada - but I'm wondering if these fall under the catagory of patented plant/seeds? What is the rule with things like that? Am I correct in thinking that rule really only applies to commercial propagation, and not the "over the fence with a cuppa" kind of thing?

those are the tidal waves if it includes silver
you can get those pelleted at walmart off the burpee select (black packs) racks for 1.50
a mix of silver and hot pink
pam

Scottsburg, IN(Zone 6a)

yup - you're right - I had that wrong, they are the Tidal Waves. But sheesh!!!

Dryad, I is my understanding that seeds cannot be patented. Waves come true if theyare grown in isolation, but of course the coating costs money. I have had them reseed plenty of times just on the ground.

It's the PPAF and PPA plants where you can't do cuttings to increase stock, but you can share little pieces of them from the crown, and that's the same as cuttings, or nearly.

I can sign for Joann's package, easy, but everybody don't send any more like that because I'm never sure what I'll be doing at mail time. My mail lady is like 500# and can barely walk and get out of her truck, and she blames me when she has to. Delivery confirmation is fine, though.

Fairy & Jax, I have you down for the Ice Plant.
Fairy, You can request stuff up until the time the envies get here. Bluespiral thought I should mark the thread closed so no more people pop in and say, "Gosh, it looks like you guys are having a ball -- let me in, too!" (If they dmail me, though, I might let them in.)
Jax, Did I forget to mention, you are never done. LOL!

Colchie, Go to the DG home page and look under Extras and my addy is in there.

Tuinkabouter, as long as there is enough postage!

Flowerhead410, Can I have these, please?:
Delphinium grandiflorum "blue Butterfly'
Anemone tomentosa

I need all those extra seeds bacause there are peopleinthe swap who are sending who don't have the time or patience to rifle thorough all these posts...their wishes are broad, and It's too much trouble for me to type it in for you to tag them for a certain person, but I am mentally watching..

I will have to go and look for some things to tempt Dryad with. LOL! Because "you are never finished!!!!" (New swap name?)

I think I have everybody answered, and I have all the things requested marked down.

I see some cool lavender listed above for you cottage garden peeps.

KD200 is going to be posting soon about more WZ seed lists, but I need you to send them to her with "WZ seeds wishlist" in the subject line...I can't take any moe damil or I will lose you for sure!

Suzy

Vashon, WA(Zone 8a)

OK here's a surprise, a few days ago I planted some seed my mother brought back from South Africa. It was in an envelope, and South africa was all it said. It's sprouting. I have no idea what it is, but it must have been a pretty flower for my mom to have brought seeds. If anyone would like to try it, I have lots.
