NCIS? CSI? I thought we weren't abbreviating anymore :)
Daily Pics. Vol 50
Thanks for the nice welcome everyone. I was hoping, to take picture at my Son's place, but they cut all the trees on the lots behind his place, for housing. Bummer :(
We had seen Pheasant and deer there in the past. I've seen Mallards flying overhead (at least I think they were), but couldn't stop for picture, stuck in traffic. The little Redpolls are flocking again today, It's snowing here, and the wind wants to pick up. This is one pic of the flock.
I guess we would need some snow to get the Redpolls here. I have never seen one.

Good shot of another bird we don't see here.
Neat pics. We have a few collared Doves but I have never gotten a picture of one.
Those Kestrels always stay so high and are so small. Very difficult to photograph. Good work!
Great job Jane! Beautiful photos!
That Burrowing Owl is my favorite!
***Linthicum will be starting the New Daily Pics thread soon.***
Is this some sort of hybrid Mallard?
Mallard × farmyard duck cross. Farmyard ducks are derived from Mallard in the first place, so it's the same species, technically not a true hybrid, more like a mongrel dog.
Did that CSI duck make any wisecracks?
Just wisequacks ;-))
Great pics everyone!
Love seeing them!
LOL Resin!

As a courtesy, I left that "quack" to you bro Resin, !rofl!
& thanks, I have wondered what these ducks were for a while now. Could Gadwall have anything to do with their breeding? Didn't find any farm ducks in my books, wonder why they aren't in there.
No Gadwall in there that I can see!
Farm ducks aren't in bird books, any more than poodles are in books about wolves ;-)
Tho' having said that, take a look at page 89 in Sibley's Bird Guide, there's some of the numerous domesticated variants shown there

Ahhh thxs again Resin, will go check it!
