I would like some of the following, please:

just wanted to let everyone know I opened more seed pods of burgundy okra today, and have some if anyone is interested. It is a pretty plant, lovely foliage and blooms, nice enough for flower beds in my o.

Yes, I over do it on the seeds, that's for sure. Here's the next installment. I like to do them round the clock so verybody feelslike they get first dibs on at least one list.

Where are the flower arrangers? Lots and lots of cut flowers here!

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Suzy --

could you set aside from me:

Calendula officianalis
Achillea millefolium 'Paprika' Yarrow

Terese

Mount Laurel, NJ(Zone 7a)

kd2000 I'll mark a pkt of burgundy okra for you...yes it is the edible kind. It is really good, can let it go a bit longer and grow larger than the clemson spineless before harvesting. We eat alot of brown rice and I would just slice it up and toss it in with the rice; never had time for the New Orleans cuisine (gumbo)! It is neat to watch cook it does turn from red to green in cooking! The flowers are so pretty I would grow it even if we didn't eat it though; a burgundy velvet inside the pale yellow blossoms.

LeBug thanks for mentioning WS'ing...I'll add the baptisia to my WS line up. We just started getting our containers ready today. This is the first time I'm trying to WS. Poked holes in all the bottoms and cut the cartons, leaving a 'hinge'. Just need to add the dirt and seeds :) I've been gathering containers from friends and cafe's since before xmas, we don't use many milk jugs etc. Also I have out my seeds that I was sorting thru for this swap so our house looks a bit seedy right now. he he
