Anything blooming?

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Absolutely STUNNING Gail!
Look how green and big your leaves are! I don't know what I'm doing wrong but my leaves are just SO small and ill looking compared to yours. I really think it is your awesome humidity!
What BEAUTIFUL plants you have! GREAT growing, I'm SO happy for you :) What a way to brighten a winter's day!

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

Oh my goodness Gail. How pretty!! You have so many blooming.

My friend in Georgia picked me up a salmond sunset from KathyStrep, the poor thing was so small but it was the only one she had left so my friend got it anyway.I've had it living in a bag for a few months its finally starting to grow. Now I can't wait for it to bloom.
Thanks for posting your blooming beauties! Made my day!

(Zone 1)

Wow! Gail, your plants are absolutely gorgeous! I bet your house looks like a florist with all those pretties to look at! You are such a great plant mama! I would be smiling all day if I could live amongst all that beauty!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Remember that I thought I was supposed to be pinching every bloom in the house for the show and sale at the end of February? Well, I decided I wasn't selling my big streps, so I quit pinching two weeks ago and this is what happened while I was out of town all week.
It was a pleasant surprise!

Now, I think all my avs are trying to bloom ahead of time so I will just have to see..........will post some avs tomorrow......still washing clothes, unpacking, etc...

This is 'Hot Pants' and she is throwing high the blooms......higher on the plant than I have ever had one do!

Gail, they are gorgeous!

Gail, are you sure this is Ness' Crinkle blue?

I need to know if it has a name if I put it in my terrarium for the show. The new members are asked to bring something. I JUST started my plants. I have to have a blooming violet in the terrarium. The terrarium is ready. This is not easy since I just started growing violets etc.

Sally, I am double positive that it is Ness' Crinkle Blue and I will have one in a terrarium to sell ........not for entering...............promise you it is Ness' Crinkle Blue

This is a columnea. Don't know it's variety name. It was either greenthumb or weedsgalore who gave it to me this year. the person who gave me all the danglers & columnea.

I'd like to trade in the spring. Cindy

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Yippidy doo dah!

(Zone 1)

Beautiful, ladies! I am so enjoying all these pic's! Love that Hoya minibelle ... have never seen that one for sale here locally!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Me either, Lin..........why do you think I am on my knees begging for a trade with her! (LOL)

(Zone 1)

Gail, did you get in on the Hoya order from the David Liddle Catalog on the Epiforum website? I finally made the decision to order a few cuttings of different hoyas to try! I was just on the hoya forum and I think there are 3 spots left on the list for folks who want to join in. They order directly from David Liddle in Australia ... are sent to Dmichael here in the U.S. and he mails them out to everyone. We all share in the cost of the shipping which makes it very resonable!

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

Good morning everyone!

Beautiful blooms cflowr, thanks for posting,We love pictures!

Davison, MI(Zone 5a)

I ordered from Mr. Liddle this past Fall. But Minibelle was from someone else. I can take a cutting off it for you Gail. but then I'll wait a little longer to take any more, I think. I'll add you to my Spring trade list.
Cindy

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Cindy, please add me to your spring trade list as I want that hoya so badly...............I have some good plants, too.

Lin, I never have gotten in on orders of cuttings..................thanks for telling me though........

Davison, MI(Zone 5a)

You're on my list. Remember to save a sinningia speciosa 'moreira pink' for me also. The pink epi's are rooting. Hope yours is starting ok.
Cindy

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Did you send me those leaves of epi?????????? I am a senior (LOL) If you did, they are already rooted (6 or 8 of the pieces I cut up from what you sent) and sitting outside waiting to be potted up in one big pot.

Another friend sent me like 5 kinds just the other day ............they are growing putting out new growth with a zip lock on the bottom of them before I went out of town............

I don't have that specific sinningia but am growing lots from hybrid seed this week plus I just have a lot of all kinds of gessies and tropical house plants or patio plants like the epis..........

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

show me what yu sent? (LOL)

Look at it growing out of the pot I stuck the leaf in (LOL)......she needs to be moved but i think Cicada or Lin sent these

This is many kinds of epis with the names on them from a trading friend. I now owe her as many streps as i can get in a box..........wasn't she a jewel?

Davison, MI(Zone 5a)

Oh, I wrote on my spring list that I owe you the pink epi. You weren't ready for it yet. I had forgotten. Good think I wrote it down. If you've changed you mind about it now that you have all those other epies, it doesn't make any difference to me. Just let me know in the Spring if you still want some so I can get some more from my friend who has the plant now. She told me she would be happy to give me some more for you, so it's just up to you. You have d-mail

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

YOu are so nice!! I do have a lot of epis now so don't worry about it, cflowr!

Here's Kohleria 'Mother's Lipstick', really a nice red in this flower!

Thank you Gail. Wanted to make sure it was Ness Crinkle blue. I went to Judy's house and got a few epecia's and she has it and so I could see it is indeed. It just looked lighter in pictures. Thanks so much. I can't wait to see the sale.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Joseph, you need to enter that picture in the photo contest this yeat! Awesome pic and plant.

Sally, I haven't even been to corpus to get what I need for terrariums to sale. I emailed Judy to see if I could buy some episcias but haven't heard back from her yet..............

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

Wowzaa Joseph,Thats so pretty!

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

Hi All,
I now have 3 very nice AV's blooming.. Well almost 3. These are all from Lin... Thank you so much Lin, as I said I did not because I would kill them but I am so happy you did send... The varigated one is my favorite one and to boot it is going to bloom... I have never had a AV bloom for me after I got them from a store.. MOst of the time I killed them...
Also now all my plants have been debugged and all look pretty good... Only 3 plants had the mealy bugs really bad and I tossed 2 of the 3 out.. One is my string of pearls which either Lin or Nancy sent to me... It is looking much better now... I should get the stuff in the mail today to spray my passion flowers for spider mites... they don't have it bad but don't want to wait until they do..
I am happy Gail you told me what to get as I have talked with the people at the Violet place and they have been really nice people to do business with... I now feel I am better having the things on had for when a problem comes.
Hugs,
Susan
