LOL, tell Sarah it's no use--I've collected lots of feathers out here in these woods, and I'm still grounded. Sure would save on airfare when I want to visit with my son in California!
Stop and visit, talk all you want #3
LOL I have seen those movies.. need to find one of those, that might just cure her. KY, if I tell her you have feathers, she'll want to come visit you!!! I guess it could be worse, the kids dad, Jeff, jumped off his garage roof with a garbage bag for a parachute once! He didn't get hurt bad, but he didn't do that again either!!
My Dad said that when he was a kid, he jumped off the garage roof with an umbrella! LOL
Marylin, I'm sure Buddy knows this, but if he doesn't, its easier to keep the pain away then it is to make it go away once it starts. I understand about wanting to be careful with only 20 pills though. I just saw a picture of the 2 of you on a getting ot know you thread... nice to put faces with the names. I'll try to get a pic this weekend, maybe tomorrow AM... I'm a bum most days and wear a ball cap, so I'll do my hair before I take a pic (with the new glasses!) Here is one taken in May with my Jeff, his preschool graduation!
What a cutie--is the trophy for graduating?
You both are cuties! :))
Hi all. Hi Renee' and Janis
Definitely both are cuties, only I want to see your eyes, Janis. Take off those sunglasses! LOL
I got sidetracked on another forum and still haven't made supper. DH is going to fire me as a cook! LOL not really, he saidhe wasn't hungry--we had a pretty big lunch which is nice--you can eat the main meal at noon when you are retired. LOL
But home made soup and hot bread still sounds good--maybe I'll do that tomorrow night. Well, I think I'll go try to find another corny Christmas movie to watch--LOL
I meant to tell you, Janis, that yes, we do know that it is easier to stay ahead of the pain than it is to make it go away once it starts getting bad. However, as I said earlier, Buddy is trying to stretch those 20 pain pills into 30 days. He did take one just a few minutes ago because he said the pain was gaining on him. :o(( I imagine he will be in slumberland pretty soon. Only thing about that is he will probably wake up in the wee hours of the morning and not be able to go back to sleep. sigh
Well, I decided to put a Lean Cuisine spaghetti in the microwave so I guess this time I am really outta here for awhile. bye for now
(Blush) LOL Yes, the trophy is for graduating our Head Start preschool program. I have all 3 of the younger ones trophies, and their tassels from their graduation caps :) They have a very nice ceremony with caps and gowns. Here is his grad pic. And I'll post the most recent pic I have of me, even though I hate it LOL I think my face looks at, and I know I'm not smiling, I never smile and show my teeth, not until I get all the dental work done (after Christmas)
Oh I love those Lean Cuisine Spahgetti dinners! They are really good, Marilyn.
Yep, you are a pretty lady! Easier to tell without the shades. LOL
I agree with KY, although I can't tell if you have brown eyes or blue eyes, Janis. and that graduation photo is absolutely precious!!
Yep, I love Lean Cuisine spaghetti, too, Marcy. I usually have it whenever DH isn't eating anything because he isn't crazy about spaghetti.
blush again thanks all :)
dark brown that turn emerald green when I cry :)
Wonderful pics Janis!! You and your son's graduation pic!
Wow, Marilyn...a man that doesn't like spaghetti????? I didn't know there were any around!! :))
Well I have a book calling my name. See you all later..have a great evening!
Thanks Marcy.. what book?
Hi all, man I missed a lot during my nap! Sienna is suppose to get to see G'ma tomorrow after she is moved to a lower level of ICU. We haven't told her yet in case something changes, but she was better when Shaun left this evening. They removed about a gallon of fluid from her and it brought back her color, her breathing was much better, and she was more coherent. So, I think things are looking a bit more on the bright side, but then again it is kinda up to her at this point I think?
HUGS to all! :)
P.S. sorry I am doing a terrible job of keeping up with everyone, I just haven't had it in me to do a lot of reading when I get so far behind. :(
Tammy, that sounds hopeful! I'm glad she is better tonight
Janis
Thanks, Janis. I hope she is "wanting" to get better, but I just donno after our short chat this morning. But, if it is what she wants and she is ready, then what or who are we to decide, right?
HUGS,
Tammy
Just wanted to check back in with "y'all". Took me 40 minutes to get home and then I was very hungry. So, I had leftovers. Wish I'd seen the post about the bread and soup before now! That's sounds perferct. Kinda late now.
Snowed again today. Looks like about 4 in. It started around 6pm and it's still trying but not much i happening.
Maybe I'll make chili tomorrow, too.
T, I'm glad she's better, too. Sometimes all it takes is getting that fluid out and they get much better. I'm assuming it was from her heart? Congestive heart? Perhaps they'll put her on diuretics, as well?
Janis, you're a doll!
Here's recent one of me and DH. (Darrell)
Janis, your brown eyes turn green when you cry? I'd like to see that! LOL
Marcy, my DH is not a pasta man which is why he is not crazy about spaghetti. He'll eat it but it is not his favorite nor is lasagna. Hope you make it to your brother's bday celebration today. Be safe in traveling!
Tammy, so glad to hear that MIL appears to be doing better and that Sienna may get to see G'ma today. Keep us posted as you have the time and don't worry about keeping up with everything here. We'll welcome you back whenever you can join us!
Celia, good photo of you and Darrell. Looks like y'all were having fun! Do y'all get out on the lake much? Save some of that chili for me if you make any today! LOL
We are supposed to have a high today of 63! Hooray. It is still cloudy and a little foggy this morning but at least it isn't cold! I hope to get out and plant some bulbs later this afternoon. I'll check back in later. Coffee and sweet rolls are calling my name. :o))
happy b-day marsue :-)
i'm trying to wake up enough to review my meds because i most likely will be starting a new one next week for restless leg syndrome....yippie...although there could be a plus side as two that i'm on have side effects of weight gain which i've been struggling with & i do believe i will be able to stop them....will help with mommy toddler bootcamp....my son who is 2 is incredibly active and difficult to keep up with....losing weight and getting in shape will help me catch him!
we are going to get in the 50s today...feels balmy compared to yesterday
Larlienda, I meant to say hi and welcome last night, but was brain dead!! :))
Just wanted to wish Marsue a very happy birthday too!!!!!
We are hitting the showers and then on our way!!! Have a great weekend everyone!!
Thanks, Lynda and Marcy, for the birthday wishes. My "adopted" granddaughter (actually my best friend's DGD) just called and sang Happy Birthday to me. :o))
Happy Birthday Marsue!
Thanks for the picture Kwan, you and your hubby look really happy:)) And I love your hair color!!!!
Hope your trip is safe Marcy, its 34 degrees here so this is gonna turn into a sloppy mess.
Well, I've got to shower, so I'll try to stop in later, gotta go into town with Jess, she has a memorial tattoo on her side for one of her best friends that died a year ago this month, and she is finally getting it finished today. She had gotten the outline done when she found out she was pregnant with Zoe, so she had to wait til she had the baby to get it finished. So we go today to get it done (3 or 4 hours worth of work) Fun fun. Makes me want another one LOL Maybe after Christmas.
Have a great day everyone
Hugs
Janis
Oh, for a minute I thought you meant it made you want another baby!!!! LOL then I realized you were talking about a tattoo!
LOL NO more babies!!!! Although the other day Mike and I "decided" we needed about 6 or 7 more LOL That was when we took the kids to Lowes, and we we definitely joking :) I'm done, thought for a couple years I wanted one more, but now that they are all in school, no so much :)
But yes to another tattoo, I actually have my next 3 picked out, just a matter of where to put them, and when I'll get them. I have 5 now, they are all covered when I have on jeans and a t shirt. I want to be able to look like a "respectable adult" if I need to LOL so I need to figure out where the next ones are gonna be so they can be hidden also. Except the one I want on the back of my neck, haven't figured out how to hide the one I want on the back of my neck without letting my hair grow :) That is gonna take some thought.
WHY do kids have to argue about the stupidest stuff???? LOL
Hi all! Gonna see about getting Sis in to see grandma today. :)
Happy Birthday, Marsue!
Have a wonderful day everyone! :)
Janis just waned to let you know he finally posted :o)
HI all! Internet was down this morning, so I missed out on some stuff.
Everybody seems alright today. Hope you all have a good day. We have 8 in. of snow and it's still falling. We're expecting another 3-4 in. DH is out clearing the driveway. He'll be back out later to do it again.
Janis? You have tattoos? ME TOO!!! LOL I think we're a lot alike.
And we don't get out on the water very much as it's in Oregon. It's the Columbia River.
I didn't welcome you either, marie! Sorry! WELCOME!
Indeed, have a Happy Birthday, Marsue!
I almost got a tattoo of a '57 Chevy on my rear end while in the army. LOL, glad I didn't do that now, 'cause it sure would be a big car now...
AH HA HA HA HA HA HA... HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Sorry) What tats do you have? I'll show mine if...
Oh, KY--that was just too much--ROTFLOL!!
Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone and for the beautiful bouquet of water lilies, Celia.
If I can figure out how to post the link I am going to show you something that will make you laugh, too! BRB If you are on the Mid-South threads, you may have already seen this.
and Misty let us know how things are with MIL
Never got any--my parents talked me out of it, and now I'm chicken. Besides, if I lose weight..let me rephrase that...WHEN I lose weight, they'd be all shriveled up. LOL What tattoos do y'all have?
i have three...a dragon on my ankle which needs to be re-done...that was my first
a zuni bear & paw prints on my lower back & i used to have a panther in clouds on my left shoulder but i have had it covered with a dragon and phoenix with banners that have my children's names in them...i have about an hour worth's of work to finish the color....i'm waiting until i lose weight & that will be a treat....i'm contemplating the next few :-)
i tried to chose areas that wouldn't vary to much with weight gain ;-)
Here's that link I told you about it: it is me, my DGD, her little brother and my DH
check it out and then you can make one for yourself, too, if you like.
