Welcome Toni to the best garden site on the web. You will soon be like all the rest of us and realize this is more than a garden site. It's our home away from home and our escape from everyday life. :) In no time at all you will feel like we are family so pull up a chair and kick back and read the forums. If you need any help getting around the site give a yell and somebody will be there to help ya.
Hello from Zanesville
Toni, that one is beautiful!! Which cultivar is it?
Here is a direct link to the daylily forum http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/hemhead/all/
Kinda slow at the moment, but it picks up during flowering season. Daylilies are dangerous :) I've gone from 0 to 60 in the last 3 mos. I love being able to look at everyone else's collection and feel less like a nut. Some people have 1000's. I make sure to remind my spouse of that every time they raise their eyebrow at me ;)
my favorite thread from last season:

Hi Toni and welcome!!!
I would also like to extend a warm welcome to you, Toni. I see you appreciate photography. One of my very favorite spots in Daves Garden is the Photo Forum. We have some top notch photographers who love to share their best shots. It's here http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/photos/all/ and please check out the photo contest results too. You'll love them! http://davesgarden.com/contest/2007/

A big DG welcome to you from California Toni! Glad to see the enthusiastic response to your little ommission didn't frighten you away. The forums are so diverse it will take you a spell to check them out. But don't be shy, just pop on into the fray and make yourself comfy.
Welcome, Toni! Always wanted to visit Zanesville, home of McCoy Pottery. I'm a big collector. We're glad to have you in our garden.
Hey Toni,
Thanks for replying to my email ;) and many welcomes to Dave's Garden....where family is planted. You will be hooked....
My DH and I are naturally grown farmers near Louisville, KY and sell all kinds of meats, eggs, and veggies at several farmers markets. Check out my threads.
We're all here for you....
Blessings,

Welcome Toni from the deep South, Thomasville, GA. Glad you are here and as stated before this site is additive. It is the first site I go to in the morning. You will find that there is a wonderful group of people here that love gardening, talking and caring for others. Elaine
Welcome Toni!!! I migrated to this site from another site years ago and have never looked back. This place is so great. And every year, roundups are held all over the US, where fellow Dave Gardeners meet up to trade plants, stories ,and meet up face to face. This communitiy has so many unique features that you wont find anywhere else.
Hi Toni! You can definately see that we LOVE our members! Sending you a big welcome from TN.
Tina

Toni - you are going to love DG! Everyone here is soooo generous and friendly - and frankly, the site is addicting - so beware, we don't want DG to interfere with your journalism career - Remember! You have been warned! LOL
Hi Toni,
Welcome to your new family.
Donna
Hi Toni, glad to see you took the hint and joined DG! This is a great place where you'll find more resources than you ever thought possible about gardening and garden products, much more than that too!
Judith

Wow - imagine if you did include DG in your article, Toni?!! A Toni Forum perhaps! Hee hee. Welcome, and do check out the NE Forum. If you're northeast of someplace, you're always welcome. Now that you've found DG, You'll never need to visit any 'other' sites anymore!
Welcome from the Southwest Gardening Forum, too! As we like to say...
"The TOAST of Dave's Garden, literally"!
Don't forget to check out some of the coops offered on DG, as well. Some great deals on great plants!

Welcome to Dave's from another Ohioan transplanted in the south. If somebody hasn't posted it, there is a Master Gardeners forum too.
While some may think this OT, it really is not. I am part of a committee that is now going full throttle to get Dave's Garden Expo off the ground. In the near future, you will see this on Voting Booth. I encourage you to participate because this can be a highlight for all of us. It is not just gardens, no more than every forum/thread is just gardens. It is a place for like-minded people to gather and share their passions. On Dave's, it is obvious we all have multiple passions and I think that pretty much sets us apart from most gatherings. Obviously, collecting has been the biggest part of my life for 35 years. I am a novice gardener and found Dave's by googling various plants. Has changed/enriched my life to no end. Love you all. Christi
Just left this little note on another thread. applies to all
Welcome Tini, from WeeNel over here in cold, wet, and windy Scotland UK, never knew such a sneaky more blatant way of getting someone to come on board, but you got here in the end, so very best wishes to you and hope you meet as many new friends as I have since joining the best thing invented for gardeners from all over the globe, you will enjoy the humour, the gardening experiences from ALL different abilities and most of all, the encouragement and kindness of everyone, so beware, this site comes with a warning, Addiction is a side effect to everyone who enters. WeeNel.
WOW! All I can say is I'll need an extra day in the week just to keep up with all you guys! I so appreciate all the good wishes and pretty flowies.
WeeNel: what a wonderful surprise to hear from someone in my beloved Scotland. Yes, though not Scottish, I spent four years in Argyll and traveled extensively every chance I got. I had many wonderful friends there, and hope I make it back for a visit some day. Where are you located?
Hyblaean, the cultivar is Bayport, and one of my favorites.
I'm a daylily nut, but then I also love lilacs, peonies, cannas, glads, hosta, astilbe, and um just about everything.
I will try to stay connected here, but I'm not too good about posting on forums (just ask my writing group! LOL)
Hope your weekend was great, and the coming holidays bring you all much joy.
Toni
Already dreaming of spring
I have gained true, close friends from all over the world without ever leaving my chair. And I so glad to have Zanesville, O now on my list to visit.
LouC
Welcome wonderful to have you with us all.
Salutations, Toni, from a former Ohioan now transplanted to the Northeast (forum, that is.)

A gardener from Zanesville named Toni
At writing a blog was no phony.
She improved it, I think
With a Daves Garden link,
Which made it more classy and tony!
Great poem!! Jo
Welcome Toni!! Don't worry about trying to keep up with us. We understand. We're glad you're here!!
I love your poem (as always) Don!!
