Hello from Zanesville

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Welcome Toni to the best garden site on the web. You will soon be like all the rest of us and realize this is more than a garden site. It's our home away from home and our escape from everyday life. :) In no time at all you will feel like we are family so pull up a chair and kick back and read the forums. If you need any help getting around the site give a yell and somebody will be there to help ya.

Necedah, WI(Zone 4b)

Toni, that one is beautiful!! Which cultivar is it?
Here is a direct link to the daylily forum http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/hemhead/all/
Kinda slow at the moment, but it picks up during flowering season. Daylilies are dangerous :) I've gone from 0 to 60 in the last 3 mos. I love being able to look at everyone else's collection and feel less like a nut. Some people have 1000's. I make sure to remind my spouse of that every time they raise their eyebrow at me ;)

my favorite thread from last season:

Hi, Toni. Welcome to Dave's Garden. I hope you find it as rewarding as we all do. Gosh, we sound a little like a cult, don't we? That's a scary thought.

The roses are still blooming here in Northern California.

Welcome Toni!!! I migrated to this site from another site years ago and have never looked back. This place is so great. And every year, roundups are held all over the US, where fellow Dave Gardeners meet up to trade plants, stories ,and meet up face to face. This communitiy has so many unique features that you wont find anywhere else.

Hi Toni, glad to see you took the hint and joined DG! This is a great place where you'll find more resources than you ever thought possible about gardening and garden products, much more than that too!

Judith

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

tonileland, what are your plant passions, so we can pick your brain? Beware, DGers come with great addictive powers that can cause purchases beyond the means and induce the planting of copious amounts of anything with roots. Welcome to my garden world via DG on my Island paradise. Patti

Welcome to Dave's from another Ohioan transplanted in the south. If somebody hasn't posted it, there is a Master Gardeners forum too.

Quoting:
While some may think this OT, it really is not. I am part of a committee that is now going full throttle to get Dave's Garden Expo off the ground. In the near future, you will see this on Voting Booth. I encourage you to participate because this can be a highlight for all of us. It is not just gardens, no more than every forum/thread is just gardens. It is a place for like-minded people to gather and share their passions. On Dave's, it is obvious we all have multiple passions and I think that pretty much sets us apart from most gatherings. Obviously, collecting has been the biggest part of my life for 35 years. I am a novice gardener and found Dave's by googling various plants. Has changed/enriched my life to no end. Love you all. Christi

Just left this little note on another thread. applies to all

Ayrshire Scotland, United Kingdom

Welcome Tini, from WeeNel over here in cold, wet, and windy Scotland UK, never knew such a sneaky more blatant way of getting someone to come on board, but you got here in the end, so very best wishes to you and hope you meet as many new friends as I have since joining the best thing invented for gardeners from all over the globe, you will enjoy the humour, the gardening experiences from ALL different abilities and most of all, the encouragement and kindness of everyone, so beware, this site comes with a warning, Addiction is a side effect to everyone who enters. WeeNel.

Uncasville, CT(Zone 6a)

WOW! All I can say is I'll need an extra day in the week just to keep up with all you guys! I so appreciate all the good wishes and pretty flowies.
WeeNel: what a wonderful surprise to hear from someone in my beloved Scotland. Yes, though not Scottish, I spent four years in Argyll and traveled extensively every chance I got. I had many wonderful friends there, and hope I make it back for a visit some day. Where are you located?

Hyblaean, the cultivar is Bayport, and one of my favorites.
I'm a daylily nut, but then I also love lilacs, peonies, cannas, glads, hosta, astilbe, and um just about everything.

I will try to stay connected here, but I'm not too good about posting on forums (just ask my writing group! LOL)

Hope your weekend was great, and the coming holidays bring you all much joy.

Salutations, Toni, from a former Ohioan now transplanted to the Northeast (forum, that is.)
----

A gardener from Zanesville named Toni
At writing a blog was no phony.
She improved it, I think
With a Daves Garden link,
Which made it more classy and tony!

Great poem!! Jo
