Good to hear from you, Booj! I really enjoyed all the snow talk....hope you are all nice and warm and cozy!
Al - another fantastic photo......What do you do - drive with one hand and shoot with the other???? Worker's Comp potential, huh? Maybe a disability retirement in the works???
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 7
Very nice Celeste. Better there than here! What we had mostly melted. We had the high winds in the afternoon. 36 degrees right now.
Deb, are you taking classes?
Nice pics Boojum & pixie62560. The evergreens really look nice with the snow on them!
Temp 39.3°, Wind WNW 16.9 mph, WindChill 18.7°
Overcast, & windy.
Imagine winters without evergreens!!
Cool pic Al, but I'd really be impressed if you were driving backwards.
Love the winter pics - they would make a nice holiday card!!! Al - I love your pic but I'm still trying to figure it out. Was the truck behind you and you took a pic of it in the rear view mirror?? Were you still driving when you took the photo - hope the truck didn't run into you!!
Al, next time you're in the rodeo on a bucking bronco, I expect a few pics!
I can't even take a good pic standing still!! Isn't it illegal to be driving while you are distracted or is it distracted while you are driving? Eleanor
Distracted! That's for people who are trying to focus on one thing at a time.
Try that on 42nd and Broadway!!
Nice, Al! Perhaps your hands will become as famous as Pixie's! No snow there?
Not on Oct 25.
Victor - I might have to look for that intersection - Menasha only goes up to 12th St.
Oh you expanded?!!
i don't think it is possible to drive 45mph (much less 70) at 42nd & B'way. plenty of time for picture taking.
(i don't think it is possible to drive 45 anywhere in midtown - unless you're on the west side highway.)
LOL! Very nice Al, very nice! I like those types of bridges, we don't see them too often around here.
Gotta go... getting late ☺
It's 21 degree's and STILL SNOWING!!!
No snow at all here. With these winds of 20 MPH it's reduced the tropical temperature of 29.7 to 16. I think I'll stay right here, nice and warm.
Victor, I'm not taking classes, just area evening classes were cancelled due to weather. I should take some since I can for free, and I did take a few a few years ago, just haven't gotten around to look at a schedule yet. Not sure what I would want to take either. I've thought about going back to school full time, but again, for what? And, do I really want to this late in life?
23 and light snow, wind chill -2
It's good to learn new things and skills at any age, but who wants to do HOMEWORK!!! I had homework when I attended school and then my job involved even more homework as a teacher. When I retired that was it for homework. Paper type homework that is. I'm always doing computer projects but no one says I have to do it!!! Right now I'm re-learning how much fun it is to be a child!! My grandson loves music and dancing so I'm going to enroll us in a Kindermusik program for the winter!! Sounds like fun and I'm not teaching it, just enjoying it with my little man!! Eleanor
23 and flurries here.
Wow! Have fun!
Pixie - remind me again why you live in Maine. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Yank, im asking myself that question right now. If you ask me in May or July i'd have a picture of a field of flowers, or a mountian with a waterfall to throw up. Right now I have no answer except it's still in the pretty stage and im not totally sick of it...YET. But then again, it's still snowing!
DS went to work 4am yesterday morning, came home at 2:30 this morning. Got back up and back to work at 7:30 this morning (4hrs. sleep) and will not be back again until sometimes tonight. The boy is beat!
WaterCan and Al - love your bridge shots! That water looks pretty chilly in Menasha, Al!! What is the bridge in your cell phone shot, WC? Is there a way to change the "What did you see on your walk" thread to a "What did you see on your walk or drive" thread????
Eleanor - your Kindermusik class with Colin sounds like it will be a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy it!!
Brrrrrrrrrr, Celeste......sounds so "Maine-like" where you are! Your poor DH....pretty exhausting work!!
I didn't realize we got about a foot of snow overnight until I went outside - didn't look that bad from the window.
Ooooo Ahhhhhh Pretty!
wow - that is just beautiful!
Wow - beautiful, Al!
Lovely Al! I love it when there are a multitude of colors!
Thanks.
The colors do wash out fast once the sun is up.
